Still stuck in office doin shite nuffin' in the evening, hopefully there's no need to stay on till the late night.

I think its gonna be another day like this.

Sigh.
Can't believe I'm starting to get sick of my work already.
Oh is what I'm doing called WORK?

Don't...

Don't talk to me like I'm a fucking kid.
Don't talk to me like what you say is absol-fucking-utely right while every I do is just plain fucking wrong.

You know what.
Don't even talk to me at all.
Thank you so very fucking much. Dad.

It feels weird to feel good to be back...

Tuesday, July 24, 2007

This is one of the few times that I've been overseas and come back feeling damn happy to be back.

Usual I just wanna stay away for as long as possible.
Maybe I just can't get used to Vietnam, the noise, the filth, the sights and most of all, the chaos.
I think its more than not getting used to.
I think I seriously do not like the place.
To me it was a cesspool of filth, a cacophony of noise, a cluster of smoke and dust, all meshed up to form the most tainted picture for me.
I thought China was bad enough. This was worse.
I admit, I can't appreciate this form of living, and like I told Jamesy and Kev(and Horny, I think), I need a certain level of technology and progress in the place I am at, give me my bricks and mortar.
They claimed that I'm pampered.
Without a doubt.
I want the best of both worlds, a place where there's both technology. And culture.
There was one thing that we couldn't find in Vietnam.
Or maybe we didn't try hard enough.
Anyway nothing really much to blog about the place.
Will attempt to do so(like so many of my other 'attempts') if I have the time and energy.

In the meantime, will be slacking while I wait to start work next mon...
PS: Finished Harry's Potter liao. Who want spoiler can let me know, I'll be glad to spoil everything. Muahahahaahahaahah!!!
PPS: Thanks to Horny for being our tour guide at night. Really appreciate it. Come back and we'll have dinner again yah?

Vietnam, Ya~~~~Hoo~~~~~~~

Wednesday, July 18, 2007

The day that we thought would never come has finally arrived.
In a few minutes time, Timmy boi, Jamesy boi and Kevitty Kev will be heading to Vietnam, the land of the... well, I dunno, cheap everything?

Here's to a safe journey for all of us, a rockin' good time(with Lonely Planet as our day guide and Mr Horny for the night) and 4 very satisfied souls after 5 days, 4 nights.

Will attempt to blog if I have the time and the technology, if not, then I'll see ye all in a while.

Take care now, bye bye then...

Reccos Chronicles, Part 2

Monday, July 16, 2007

Its up!

Hear! Hear!

Saturday, July 14, 2007

The very first post of the Euro trip is up.

Those who're interested can read it here

Time...

Time.
So real, yet so intangible.
We measure it by our standards, the mechanization of time into different units marked by the contraption known as the clock, or by the rising and setting of the sun, by the changing of the various seasons, so on and so forth.
We managed to 'capture' time and tamed it into a domesticated servant that will reply you which position it is in now.
But have we really captured time?

Hell, NO.

Time remains ever elusive, playing hide and seek with those who need it the most, running quicker than usual when one is pressed for it, slowing down drastically when one begs it to move on and spare the agony of waiting.
If time was an entity, it'll be a fucking Joker in my case.

How many fucking times in my life does it need to remind me that I was either too late, or too early, and years later come back to haunt me with a sneering leer and an equally awful dance/jig of victory?

Fate it seems, has an affinity with time.
The interactions of these ethereal beings have conspired to make the course to true love(for me that is) run less than smooth sometimes.
Heck, its bleddy treacherous at times come to think about it.
Fate paved out the path, time just needed to make sure I miss the turnings, like how I almost missed the turn to your house again eh. Such irony.

Pardon the ranting and the raving.
But surely a man who's sh*ting his guts out in the middle of an early morning with no sleep and a weird reminiscing session should be given some liberty to let the tongue runneth loose. Not to mention the 2 bottles of Heinek*n and some weird concoctions like Apricot Brandy(with 7-Up) and Sour Apple Margarita.

So I beseech you.
Time.
Please.
Don't fucking play me out again...

My 2nd time...

Monday, July 09, 2007

Wearing the graduation gown that is.

I have seriously no idea why and how I was possessed to wake up in the morning(well, not exactly morning, but to me its early morning lah...) and rush to the good NU of S to take pictures in the bleedy gown. In the suffocating heat no less.

But well, at least it was fun.
Taking nonsense pictures with people whom I realised, were the best part of my stay in uni.
Smoking while in full attire, gown and all, with a dude that's well, the legacy from my stint of serving the nation with 'pride'.
Having the great pleasure of taking a graduation picture with a man who is snake/uncle agony/lao gan/friend/brother all rolled into one.
Meeting up, having a proper bitching/gossiping/catching up session with old friends, shiok.

The 1st time was memorable,
the 2nd?
It was sweeter.

PS: So what happened to the mad idea of taking pictures at the Esplanade? With our gowns?!?!?!?!

PPS: Don't watch Die Hard 4 for Maggi Q. You'll be sorely disappointed. Her screen time no enough. Hmph!

After the cake, candles, and celebrations...

Saturday, July 07, 2007

Thank you.
That's all I can say to those who remembered the day Timmy boy was unleashed upon this world.

Even though the candles are burnt, the cake is finished, and the celebrations long gone,
I will remember the times and the memories that we had,
and the time and effort you people take to make this day a very very special ones.

To everyone who celebrated with me, sent messages/cards/what-ever nots to me.
THANK YOU!

This birthday will not be the same without you guys.
You know who you are, and I'm too sleepy and tired to type out everyone, hee...........

Thank you...

May my birthday wish of us meeting like this every so regularly be granted.
Oops.

:)

The story in my storybook life...

Wednesday, July 04, 2007

The chapters that were once closed are briefly opened again.
Things that were the products of my overactive imaginations turned out to be realities.
Scenes that I thought only happen in reel form became real.

Yesterday, I think, was one of the weirdest story in my storybook life...

Thank you. And you, you, you...

Monday, July 02, 2007

Or was it 4?

That was my very virgin arts club bash.
Dancing. drinking, and in Ning's words: "Getting high on one another."
That was fun.

Fast forward to the present, 29th June 2007.
We see one group of people, standing just opposite DXO, some in the rain, some in the shelter, some smoking, some talking, all friends.
They were all here for the arts camp bash, only to realise, that the bash wasn't that great(seeing that they needed to pay $$ to go in) and that their main reason for meeting up was just, well... a reason to meet up.
Some of them went in though.
I was one of them.
But as expected, we didn't get high. Not on one another, not this time.
The crowd was different, the agenda was different, everything was just so different.

The best part of the evening must be the impromptu 'drinking' session outside some bar. (Yes, I forgot the name, how?)
Beer never taste good when drunk alone.
Thank you all. You old birds know who you are. And you people know that this will not be the last time eh?
Let's just keep going to these bashes for the f**k of it lah. At least we can always bitch about the degeneration of the young kids/gossip about the latest scandals that's concerning people we might or might not know, you know, things like these.
Or alternatively, we can just meet up more often.
But it was a good night, a great night in fact, to be able to see some many familiar faces and talk till the wee hours of the night.
Thank you. And you, you, you...

Oh, and thank you Pegs and Sw, for hosting a mini drinking party at your place, and telling me that I can just take any bottle that's been opened.
So so touched...
Card games, 99, funny rules like impersonating a chicken after saying someone's name, you me i they, speaking only in chinese, mj session.
The night seemed packed indeed.
Thank you ladies and gentlemen...

No. 030, your timing is...

Thursday, June 28, 2007

Sit-ups: 42
Standing Board Jump: 230 cm
Pull up: 10
Shuttle run: 9.7 sec
2.4km run: 11.34 min

Which means.... I got silver!!!!!

$$$$$$$ here I come... :)

Maybe not smoking before the run is better. Hm...

Monday morning...

Tuesday, June 26, 2007

While this was so much better than what we saw this morning, nothing comes close to having 4 guys, one car, prawn and pork rib noodles, topping it all up with some dim sum, coffee/tea/milo. Not forgetting the ciggy(though only 2 of us were smoking...)

Monday morning.
Good morning to ye all.
I certainly had a good one.

Oh, did I forget to mention that we drove all the way down after an overnight mj session?
This must be the only Monday morning when I don't feel the blues...

PS: For those who are eagerly waiting for the posts on my European Escapade.. I mean Experience, erm, I'll post something when I have the pics, and trust me, I'll do it soon, lest I start to forget the 'finer' details...

Quite inspiring...

Thursday, June 21, 2007

Made a trip down to the temple this afternoon.
Apparently, I had forgotten to return to the temple to give the thanks to the deities for watching over us(yes I prayed for the rest of the chink gang too...) while we were overseas.
And since I was there, I decided to check out the forecast for my future.

The lot I got?
Not too bad.
In fact, it's deemed a good lot, and the gist of the lot goes something likes this:

One foot lies between you and success. By progressive stages, does a good man reach prosperity. Harvest is dawning. Peace of mind will prevail after this boat of worries.
Interpretation: Good.
Sack cloth turns to silk to cling to your feet. In time, will you understand as one lives, one flourishes.

Whoa.
Quite the inspiring I must say.
Let's see, shall we?

Back... for a while at least...

Friday, June 15, 2007

I'm finally home.

Exhausted.
Can't seem to find any energy to do anything today, except staring at the laptop for the whole day.

At the back of my mind I know there's like a million other things for me to do.

But for now, let me enjoy the remnants of my self-declared holiday....

Reaching the end...

Sunday, June 10, 2007

The last time I checked, we have 6 more days, 5 to be exact, before the end of this wonderful trip.
Damn.

For all those who're curious, no I've not been laid yet, I have no chance to try weed yet(though the next stop is Holland, so hehehehe) and have only gotten myself mildly drunk/smashed once throughout this trip(friends who know me will know that my DRUNK state = Portable Merlion).

Strangely enough, I kinda miss Singapore.

Having tons of fun here is one thing, but nuffin' can beat sleeping in one's own bed, eating one' favourite bak chow mee, smoking and drinking with bubs in a place call Dungeon, driving down the expressway where one knows where the right side of the road is.... the list goes on.

I guess I'm feeling homesick now.
But I don't want this holiday to end.
So am I a walking contradiction or what?

Maybe I just want the best of both worlds.
Where I can holiday all I want, and go home as I please.

In the meantime, to all those who's reading this, take care now, see ya then...
Till next time.

-- Timmy out

PS: It's friggin' hard to type on the German keyboard. Plus I'm sweating my balls off now. Can you believe it?!?!?!?!?

"Priceless". Priceless...

Tuesday, May 22, 2007

Just finished watching "Priceless" a few hours ago.
Good show, Audrey Tautou(hope I got the spelling correct, too lazy to check) is HOT. Period.
Met up with Jamesy Boi and Kev to talk about the Viet trip which is going to be postponed.
Date still uncertain cos of some last min cock up(so sorry about everythin again Mr Horny...)

What a whirlwind of days it has been.

Clearing admin stuff for work, home and meeting up with the guys, mj sessions, FA Cup final, Butter Factory, soccer match that degenerated to a bloodbath(almost, story to be told to those who are interested...), dinner with parents, etc etc...

Tying up the last of the loose ends tomorrow.
Hopefully.
I would say I'm around 80% done.

Oh, did I mention that I'm going overseas soon?
Like, this thurs morning or something.
Yeah.
I'll be off, for a month, 3 weeks. Take your pick.

Still coming to terms with the fact that my mum decided to be generous and all.
So trying very very f**king hard not to tread on her toes.
Not even her shadow.

Countdown: 2 more days.

But whatever time I have left here, whatever time I've spent with everyone and anyone.
Priceless.
Just sorry that's not enough time to really meet everyone EVERYONE important to me one way or another. To say goodbye.

Shit, it's getting a bit mushy and a wee bit morbid.

In any case, take care now, bye bye then...

Timmy boy, out.
Till next month...

Oh.... thanks.

How do you feel when someone more senior, more experienced, and has seen more people tell you straight in the face that:
"You're fucked. If I were a producer, I'll never ever call you. I'll rather hire someone newer and inexperienced than you. You're fucked. None of the bosses like you. You can't make it one."

These ominous words are still ringing in my head.
Suddenly, I'm not so sure anymore.
I try to dismiss these words as ramblings of a fat ole' & drunken fart.
But then again, what if he wasn't drunk, and oh yah, the part about drunken people speaking the truth, oh oh oh, and then there were the other comments too....
Everything is just happening and changing too fast and furious now...
I need some time to slow down.
And think.
Which I seem to be doing alot lately to no avail...

I'm quite fucked, ain't I?

Whoa...

Wednesday, May 16, 2007

Too many things to say.
Too little time.
Its 4 hours and counting...

Will be right back after this short stint of something I like to call: Work

Anticipation.Expectation. Moderation(or the lack of it)

Thursday, May 10, 2007

Graveyard Recipe:

1/2 package Triple Sec
1/2 package Bacardi 151 Proof Rum
1/2 package Vodka1
1/2 package Gin1
1/2 package Tequila1
1/2 package Bourbon Whiskey
1/2 package Scotch Whisky
Stout
Beer

Anticipated the day I could finally club with the RECCOS people,
expected a happening, wild, and heavy drinking night,
but with the lack of moderation and common sense,
got wasted.
Irony of life:
When you know cock-sure that you CANNOT whack Graveyard, yet still go order one and proceed to pour everything in your throat like it was the last drink on earth.
Head's still spinning.
Wondering if its the alcohol or the lack of sleep.
Maybe both.
I think I better go drink more water or tea...

PS: Many thanks for those who took care of me last night. And sorry for the trouble...

PPS: So when we going for another session? I kinda missed the part where you go to the dance floor and do something call dancing. I promise I will watch my drinking next time :)

I swear...

Saturday, May 05, 2007

I fucking swear.
I fucking swear that if ever, I see my younger brother, dying of thirst on the other side of the road, I will not even fucking walk over to fucking piss on him.

So much for blood is thicker than water.

It takes just a fucking bag for me to realise it.

PS: Hell fuck, maybe I'll cross over the road, piss into the drain in front of him, and tell him: "Song bo!"

Totally. Random shit that I've did...

Did some pretty weird things over these past 2 days.
Like last night, seeing that I finished work early. Quite the friggin' early, I decided to go catch a movie.
If possible, get some poor bugger out to watch.
If not, then watch it myself.
Mr Snake was in a half comatose state when I called him. Out.
Me Kev Wee was in the midst of preparations for his raid in WoW. Out.
That leaves... me.

Went all da way down to Lido, checked the timing, decided that it was a good time, waited in line, and received a phone call.
Apparently Kev's raid got cancelled, so yeah, he decided that he was game.
With an hour+ to spare, what's a guy like me to do?
Window shopping.
Topman, Levi's, Billabong, Zara.
So many things I saw, so many things I wanted to buy.
But if I did, then probably I'll have to sell my arse to get to Vietnam. Not to mention the fact that I didn't really trust meine's taste, concluded that it might be better to wait for Kev's opinion.
What happened?
His 'reaching soon' turned out to be the right time.
For the shops to close.
KNNBCCB.

Went to Fong Seng for supper.
Never fails to make me wish I was back in school everytime I'm there.

Today was even more bizarre.
I was supposed to drive down to collect my ic and apply for my driving license(yesh, it's still not replaced) but due to:
1. I overslept
2. I no car
3. I got sms for sudden soccer session
I thought, maybe why not wait another day?

Soccer turned out to be in the late afternoon.
Then dinner.
Then mj.
Then supper.
Then talk cock session(wait lemme rephrase it. It was more like Berd's rendition of his South African trip of his army days...)
Then now home.

Better get some sleep to catch spidey in action tomorrow.

PS: Finally saw the poster and the trailer for the film that I was working in. So excited. Shall post some pics next time :)

End. Game.

Thursday, May 03, 2007

End. Game.Finished.

End of the road.
No more treble.

And the whining goes on.

I'm gutted.

Not because they bowed out of the finals.
No.
I'm disgusted because they limped out of the match playing like shit, looking like shit and were reduced to looking like... no wait, they were a bunch of passion-less, headless chickens rooted to the ground after being outplayed and outclassed by a Milan outfit that almost brought tears to my eyes.
Look at the passion, look at the hunger in their eyes and tell me if you see the same in the Red Devils.
Sans a player or 2, the rest looked relaxed, languid and worst, lacklustre(or luck-lester as an officer of ours used to say...)
If I didn't know better, I would say that the M*fia kidnapped all their families and strapped bombs to them, or something like that.
I can't believe I actually lost sleep over such inept performance.

But enough.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow, and the glories that await us.
And win or lose. They'll still be my one and only Manchester United.

Glory, glory Man United...
Glory, glory Man United....

PS: I am in no mood to entertain jibes for the moment. Please don't maketh me dulan by sending smses such as "Song Bo!" or something along this line. I try not to make fun at other fans and their clubs' fortunes so please accord me the same respect.

PPS: Only exceptions are people whom I know for very f**king long, people that I'm f**king close to. And babes/chio bu-s. Nuff' said.

No matter how I look at it, it feels weird...

Sunday, April 29, 2007

It must be the weirdest moment of my life 5 minutes ago.
Maybe not the weirdest. But definitely weird.

For the 1st time in my miserable 25 years of existence, I actually passed *** amount of $$ to my parents.
Cor blimey!!!
My mum was quite shocked, cos to her, as long as I'm not taking any money from her, its good enough already.
For me to give them some $$, I could swear she was craning her neck to peep outside the windows. To check if pigs were flying.

F**k it still feels weird.

Upside down...

Friday, April 27, 2007

Sometimes I wonder if someone's watching my life, found it too boring, and proceed to turn it upside down.
Bogged down by work that seem to go on even after everyone has moved on, plagued by a nagging splinter of thought that refuse to believe the loss of thy wallet, making appointments and missing appointments because of this and that, coping with the lack of sleep and the abundance of nagging, blah blah.

At least on shit.... I mean, shoot days, things were less topsy-turvy.
Or were they?

Moving pictures, moving on...

Wednesday, April 18, 2007

Just tonight I had a discussion with a friend who's sorta half in half out of this industry. (meaning he wanna find other job but still taking on production jobs to stay alive...)

I talked about moving on.

To where?

To become a full timer?
To become a better PA?
To become something more than a PA?

I realised I still can't find the answer that I need to discover fast.

PS: I'm still alive and kicking. And apparently mad enough to work even though some people told me I looked green in the face.

PPS: Some kickass pics after this job. Stay tune.

Heading for a breakdown... oh wait, broken down already...

Sunday, April 15, 2007

I've always complained to some people who will endure my nonsense that my body was heading for a breakdown and fall apart.

Or something like that.

Guess what?
I just did.

In the most bizarre manner ever.

Cause of breakdown:
1. Fever(expected cos I have'nt been sleeping much or well)
2. Sore throat(I blame the weather and the fried food)
3. Stomach virus. Wait... STOMACH VIRUS?!?!!?!?!

What f**k STOMACH VIRUS?!?!?!?
I can understand the events leading to causes 1 and 2, but STOMACH VIRUS?!!??!
How can I kena such a shit thing when I haven eaten more than 3 meals in the past 3 days?!?!?!
And the food that I ate was like what, mixed veg rice, fried rice and chicken rice, which, ironically, was what everyone else was eating and I'm the only one 'lucky' enough to contract such weird !@#$%$@ thingy?

Sigh.
I give up.
White flag, white underwear, white whatever.
This is getting from a bad year to a worse year.
Is there no good news in my life now?

Still. Stuck in the bleddy office...

Friday, April 13, 2007

I'm like so screwed?
Its probably like late late late in the night,
no, let me rephrase it.
its probably like early early in the morning liao, yet lim lao bei is still stuck in the office.
Surviving on cold water, cold nuggets, cold air and best of all, cold ciggs.(I smoke menthol remember?)

Sigh.

Sometimes its days like these that make me wonder.
Is it all worth it?

Birthday 'Bashes' & Feeding Frenzy...

Tuesday, April 10, 2007

Crazy things that I was doing last week:

Having a birthday 'bash'. My gawd... I missed this 'tradition', though not on the receiving end of it.
The 3 buggers who's born on the same day. All of them got beaten up on the same day too.

Presenting: Reccos and the First Wives' Club!

Was it worth giving up a free beer session for?
Hell Yeah!
Times like these, it's PRICELESS.

And on another day last week, we were doing this:

Our very first 'film'. Signs of low/no budget: Handphone light, handheld camera, and best of all, a talent for the cheap price of $2.50.

Meet our newly signed 'talent' Ernest*.
Isn't he cute?

Ernest on a ruler ala "Pirates of the Caribbean". Oh, and the spider in the background, his name's Silas.

Ernest showing that he has no respect for the master of the lair. Must've balls of steel.

For those who are interested, we stayed for an hour and a half in the hot stuffy carpark without seeing any actions.
we gave up and went to coffee in the end instead.

6 days later, Silas finally decided that enough was enough.
Ernest, you survived our expectations, you are a survivor indeed.

And I dunno why but I have to include this pic, cos the li'l boy is really quite cute...

Xw's cousin. Has cheeks that we all love to pinch.

*we name the damn mouse Ernest after our bastardly S3 from camp, but like Jamesy boi said, after all, he went through OCS, so his namesake also quite the fierce...

Narrow. Escape. Or maybe not...

Thursday, April 05, 2007

My mum snooked/lao gan-ed* me just now.

After brushing teeth and everything, she was talking to me and exclaimed:"You've been smokin ah?!?!?!?! Can smell your breath from here!!!!"

I didn't even look up and nonchalently said NO.
Only to continue focusing on the damn phone and pretend she was asking something stupid and incredible.

My gawd.

I think she STRONGLY suspects now.
I NEED TO CUT DOWN...

:(

PS: Or maybe I shouldn't smoke like 2 hours before I go home???
*Lao-gan = Yz-ed**
**Yz-ed = to cheat, swindle, play mind games. ie: Nabei, you Yz-ed me just now, I thought you doing 13 Terminals(十三么)? How come can become a Pure Green Suit(绿一色)???

Stuffed Happyness

Wednesday, April 04, 2007

Last Fri, we had dinner at Kushinbo.
It was with a fantastic group of people who I had the pleasure of knowing for close to 2 years, some of them longer, one of them longest.
The dinner was nothing short of crazy.
We had people doing this:

(Kev attempting to feed Beng)
To people doing this:

(That's me for the uninitiated)

And what about after dinner activities?
There were:

1. The return of the 3 Stooges... I mean Ladies.
2. The Golden Monkey(Me) and The Silver Orang Utan(iban) stance.
3. And this one... erm, I dun really wanna know what's going on.
Topped off the night with some buttons mashing at the games console, bball throwing, photo hunting and some screaming at the table soccer area.
Shiok.

Thanks guys, for another memorable night out.
PS: Giang not in this group picture cos she's the one taking it, hahahaha!!!

Everythin happens for a Reason...

Thursday, March 29, 2007

Phone.
Try as I might didn't manage to get the phone now I have a new one.
Jobs. Missed/cancelled job
Didn't get the job therefore able to have a good relaxing mj session/supper session without worrying about jobs.
Not going.
Not going better since the hawker centre was undergoing cleaning.
The deleted messages.
That tells me that moving on is the best thing I should do now.

Everything happens for a reason.
If you believe it.
Me?
I believe that after this post, I'll be so hungry and thirsty I'll go grab some noodles and beer.
Oh wait.
I've already got them.
See? :)

Wine, dine and 300 men...

Bibo, ergo sum. I drink, therefore I am
-- Fredirect Toyou

Had a mini drinking session on Tuesday with 2 guys and 1 lady, with the notable absence of another bugger.
I can't seem to remember the last time I was able to sit down and relax in the company of friends.
Work, work, work.

Managed to catch 300 last night.
Either you like it, or you don't.
I loved it.

Made me feel bloodthirsty,
and hungry for chicken nuggets, after staring at those abs for so long....
An inspiration for me to follow.
Will update on the washboard abs should they ever appear...

Supper with the Bravo guys and the addition of Mr Horny's bro(and bro's gf).
Ended up talking about the feeding habits of a certain 8 legged house pet owned by Jamesy boi himself.
Mice, crickets, toads.
We agree that he treats his pets with lots of TLC.

Next thing I knew, we were home...

Till the next time guys....

Let sleeping dogs lie...

It's hard to take over the world when you sleep 20 hours a day,

Darby Conley (Get Fuzzy 06/07/04)

How so very true.
Can't seem to get anything done today.
Quit in a middle of a Dota game cos I was falling asleep.
Concussed in the midst of reading comics.
Left the tv on while I snore on the bed.
I must have fallen asleep half a dozen times today while I was supposed to do something.
Chair, floor, sofa, bed.
Everywhere, anywhere.

I wonder if it's a open protest by my body for the abuse that I've been subjecting it to.
I need to use these few days to recover, then its back to work.
If there is work in the first place.
There might be a chance, just a chance that the month of May this year might be different...

Driving past past...

Saturday, March 17, 2007

Driving past past…

Cruising down the expressway,
Over the bridge,
Cool wind.
Cool.
Cool.
Not cold.
Memories, they make me shiver,
Memories that involved you, and me.
Cruising.
Cruising past the place where I told you that I loved this part of Singapore, my favouritest view in the whole of the island.
Still is.
They build everything so fast now.
So, so fast.
The ferris wheel.
It’s almost up.
Looking to the left made me realize that you aren't there.
You left.
Empty space in the car.
The saddest thing is that the window seems so huge, so alien, without you.
More space to see the view.
The view that’s changing, like you, like me.

The song playing in a loop in the car that’s moving in a singular direction.
Straight.
You can drive past past,
But you can never outrun them.
Once you stop, they catch you.
Once you get back to the same place, they’re already there, waiting for you.
Either way, you’re f**ked.
Just keep moving on.
But how long can you move on,
How far?
How fast?

Cars, all blurry as I sped on by.
The view outside became a kaleidoscope of colours,
I see only a myriad of sights, too fast to digest, too slow to discard.
Sounds.
The sounds culminating in a symphony of rushing wind and purring engines,
But I think I can still hear your voice, your laughter.
Or was it mine?

Song still playing in a loop.

Search, spin, click.
Next song please.

Objects in the rear view mirror.
Were they there before, like they are, now?
I didn’t bother then.
I didn’t bother now.
I’m just sneaking glances to check if the past is catching up on me.
Cos it always do.
Every f**king single time.

Turn up the volume, pick up the pieces, and move on…

Money, money, money....

Tuesday, March 13, 2007

Money, money, money.

I love to have them.
But I hate to count them.
Especially when I'm counting them for the sake of clearing accounts.
Though ironically, the clearing of accounts will mean that I am clearing them to get my money back...

Back to the receipts then...

To do or not to do...

If life was like a train, then we won't have problems with crossroads.

Just follow the f**king tracks.

Let someone else decide for you

Maybe like Ed says, its too early to decide what to do or where to go,
but I'm a greedy, ambitious and impatient man.
So what others can do in years, I want in months.

Maybe I don't have the experience, the intelligence, the know-hows blah blah.

But I still want it, I dream it, I desire it.

Though eventually the realization is another issue...

Sigh...
I am in need of a good rest.
And a good thinking session.

Pass me the thinking cap/hat/beanie please...

22 and counting...

Saturday, March 10, 2007

Of non-sleep that is.

Discounting the short nap I managed to steal and my friend's humble abode(45 min leh, or maybe even less than that, cos I was woken up by first the Postman and then my Producer who conveniently forgot to tell me I needed to send something, somewhere, thus screwing up my somehow, somewhat, SleepSongSong plan...)

22 freaking hours and still up and running.

Correction.

Up and sitting, having to sit down on meine's fav toilet bowl taking a crap...

22 friggin hours that I'm awake, and its not because of mahjong(which would have made me done so voluntarily) but because of something call WORK.

What I need now is a good shower, some nice music in the room, eye-thingy that you use in airplanes to block out the sunlight that's filtering in, warm comfy bed, and oh, my Dog Dog of cos.

And maybe before I sleep I need to think if its all worth the moolah that I'm looking at...

Jus hope I stay awake long enough to prevent something like this from happening:

Oh and I still possess no good feelings for feline creatures.

The pursuit... of what I wonder?

The pursuit of Happyness? Or happiness?

It's the same ain't it, no matter how you spell it.

Managed to catch a show today, but too bad it wasn't the show that me and Kev wanted, so we had to settle for an alternative.

No surprise what show we caught.

The show wasn't too bad, at some points I was downright inspired.

I kid you not.

"And it was at that time that I thought about Thomas Jefferson writing that Declaration of Independence. Him saying that we have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I thought about how he knew to put the 'pursuit' in there, like no one can actually have happiness. We can only pursue it."

How true.

I've pursued what I thought would be my happiness for years but I never actually caught it, but when I had a chance at happiness in my hands, I let it slipped away, like I was too afraid to hold it, to believe that I had happiness, the capacity to be happy, and so I let go and ran away.

Or something like that...
On a lighter note, on the way back from Jase's hall I almost got into something like this:

Why?

Cos I was speeding with a white Beemer who thought he/she/it owned the road.

Speed that I hit when I passed a police van?

Somewhere in the region of 190+ km/h.

I didn't look back, I carried on speeding all the way to the exit of the expressway, and the max speed that I hit in my darling Mini?

198 km/h.

Shiok...

For everything else, there's...

Losing everything in an afternoon while trying to rush for a shit job*: Not F**king Worth It.

But knowing that there're still some nice people out there: Priceless.

For everything else, there's the next job to look forward to.

*will elaborate on this story next time, some time, when I have time...

Alternative kind of gathering, won't you agree?

Friday, February 23, 2007

Played mahjong till the wee hours of around 6 in the morning today.
Though it was a different kind of setting.

The whole of today just felt very warped.
True, there were like most of us family members gathered ala CNY style.
But sadly, the occasion wasn't for CNY.

This is the kind of gathering that I dislike having to attend.
Just don't like the general atmosphere, feelings and the what-nots.
But given the unpredictability of everything and anything, who knows?

Closed one chapter,
let's move on people...

Another RECCOS annual dinner(plus other activities)...

Wednesday, February 21, 2007

No pictures for the RECCOS 'reunion dinner' this year.
Sorry.
Wasn't sure I could go, wasn't sure I wanted to go(given the strange twist of events unfolding about me nowadays...), plus by the time I went, it was like uber late people were already starting to leave, left, lost interest in gambling and what nots.
Hence I didn't bring my camera.
Plus I didn't know where the fiack it was at.

A great pity I had to miss the dinner this year.
Though in Ed's words, the dinner was rather chop-chop since they were more eager about gambling than anything else, which come to think of it, was no big surprise.

Lemme see the namelist for last night(ie: people that were still there when I reached)
Snake(of cos, he's the host)
Lady Boss(of cos, she's becoming a perm fixture there too)
Ed
Goose
Xw
Berd
Sw
Pegs
Beng
Phil
Yy aka Barry Eng
Yy's gal(sorry I can't remember her name)
Seng
Jase
Furby(though technically Furby should be there, since he's the house pet. But he's so cute, I've decided to adopt him as the RECCOS mascot. Any objections?)
Good seeing you guys last night.
As for those whom I missed, next time eh?

Been one heck of a weird week for me.
This CNY didn't start out too brightly for me, but I hope the rest of the year will...

Don't tell me the truth about love...

Sunday, February 18, 2007

轻轻放,

我就是卸不下对你的喜欢...

V: "I hope I don't fall madly in love with someone..."

Me: "Why?"

V: "Cos if you love someone deeply and he loves you back, then its great lah. But I don't want it to be a one sided affair, the feeling's so terrible...."

Me: "Yeah, I understand..."

If loving someone and having someone love you back is priceless,

then what's loving someone and not having someone love you back?

Priceless as well?

And if its not, then why the f**k can't I let go?

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!!

A big shout out to all those reading this:

Happy Chinese New Year!
Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Er, and I don't really know what to say anymore.

Anyway, due to some unforeseen circumstances, I will not be able to go house visiting this new year. So in case I don't get to see you people during the New Year period,
Happy New Year to you all...

Scandals, TV moments, Proposals and Supper. On a V-day...

Thursday, February 15, 2007

I realized my Vday every year remains the same, yet different in some ways.
Same = no gal to go out with + swinging single still very much available*
Different = things that I do vary from year to year.

One year was with the newly formed Lonely Heart's Club with the only surviving members being me and Seng. Berd joined the club later.
Ed, Goose and Ws terminated their subscription.

Another year was with Jamesy boy wandering through the streets of Orchard Road, occasionally laughing at the commericalisation of Vday and the masses that became willing consumers.
Topped the night with throwing coins at cars from the top of the Lido carpark before concluding my day staring at Jamesy's pee in a Snapple bottle.

This year's activities consisted of me waking up to a mutha-son size of a headache, getting weird phone calls in the morning when attempting to fall back into a comatose state, hitching a ride from mum to visit my grandma and collect the van, clearing up of stuff, moving stuff from the North of Stinkapore to the Southwest, twice, and suppering with 2 other lonely souls.

Many thanks to Kev and Cubsy for the invitiation, too bad Nings can't join us, and sorry to Giang for not being able to go for your supper thingy.

From west to east we went,
from night to late night we sat.
Scandals.Gossips.
Memories.
TV moments.
(future)Marriage proposals.
Supper was the catalyst,
the drinks soothed our throats and paved the way,
and the smoke created the atmosphere(or maybe not).
It's times like this that I realise how unimportant the 14th of Feb was to me, is to me, and will always be for me.
It should be a day with friends,
leave the romance for another day.A day where you can call your own,
not one tainted with the stench of commercialization and what-nots.
I may fall prey to it someday, but in the meantime,
let me have more Vdays that are special, so that I will truly learn the meaning of friendship on a day like this...

*available only when I'm not working and the gal's a babe.

Road...

Tuesday, February 13, 2007

I've lost the way to your heart.

Now I even lose the way to your house.

How pathetic...

And... Cut! And pack up quick!!!

Monday, February 12, 2007

The highlight for this shoot for me was probably this:

Pitching a tent in the middle of Raffles Place... (btw, the guy in the picture is my direct boss, Daniel aka Art Director)
Yes, we pitched a tent in the middle of Raffles Place in broad daylight no less, and proceeded to tuang at the place till a grand timing of around 9 in the evening.
The only consolation was that it was a Sunday night when human traffic was at its least....

It didn't help that we had to tap power illegally from some office building (forgot which one it was though) to fire up our lights = slight pandemonium = quick shooting of the + packing up in double time.
I have never seen a bunch of people disappear so fast before. With a hell lot of equipment too.

Stared at the buildings there, which got me thinking.
Of Erbium*.
Of the initial desire to be one of the Shenton/Raffles/blah blah blah working crowd.
Of being desk bound, being a slave to the clock ticking from 9 - 5.
And then I fell asleep.
No shit.
Just like that, with the first aid kit as my pillow.
Shiok.

And now, I'm waiting for the last hurrah...

*Erbium is something that only a few people will know. If I'm not wrong, then only 1 other guy who reads this will know...

Smashing glass, Farewells and Sunburns...

Saturday, February 10, 2007

For those who are interested to know what happened to me these few days, here's a short summary.

Accident.
I rammed into a lorry which rammed into a car.
Nuff said.

Saying goodbyes to actors who finished all their scenes.
Touching. When you know that they've considered you a friend, and you the same.
Memorable. When you see 1 middle aged man and a young man both trying to out do each other but in seeing who can bow the lowest and both end up lying in the middle of the road refusing to get up.
Sad. With the absence of some of them guys will mean that the set will be quieter sans their laughter, jokes and antics. Plus lesser smoking/talk cock buddies. Coupled with the fact that one of them will be flying back to Hong Kong and not knowing when he'll be back again.

Sunburns.
Bleddy hell, now I know that even hiding in a gunny sack(yesh, I had to do the gunny sack thingy again) will not help in preventing sun burns when you're already burnt.
And oh, don't ever laugh at people who're sunburnt. You will kena sooner or later.

As for the days after, let's just say I'm counting down to the end of this shoot...

In the meantime, (tiny) Tim aka Gunny Sack resident aka Timmy signing off ---

Pain sia....

Saturday, February 03, 2007

Too bad I don't have the photographic evidence of my wound now.

Oh yes, lim bei is wounded again.
On the friggin lip no less.
So instead of having a stiff upper lip, I now have a SPLIT upper lip.
Reminded me of the time I had a spilt lower lip due to the stunning effort by Xw to volley into goal. With me between the posts.
This time however, was not quite ta-bah-bah-boom.
I just got hit by a flying guitar that I was supposed to catch.
Sounds easy?
Why not?
Just overlook the fact that one is squatting in a awkward position in an environment that is dimly lit(or in this case, lights were lit to create a dim ambience...), trying to catch a guitar that's quite heavy, weird shape-d, and oh... flying towards you at quite a high speed.
Result of my noob-ness: Spilt (right)upper lip* an a hell lot of blood.

Anyway, body is know quite wrecked.
Leaking nose.
Bloodshot eyes.
Split upper lip.
Cuts and scratches all over hands and legs.
Mysterious pain on the left side of the body.

Sigh....

At least we're almost done.

*For those who think this phrase is familiar, yes you're right! We've heard this kind of description before, at a certain lair that we visit, by a certain Zen master of qoutes, no?
