Huppy Birthday to you... Yes you...

Monday, November 17, 2008

This is a rather late post for something that happened a week ago.
But then again, if you look from another angle, it's an early post from me.
Anyway, here's what we did for Kevin Wee's birthday last week.
Not on the actual day of course, he was too busy gallivanting somewhere with someone(or someones)

The place where we would commence the gastronomical attack was supposed to be Kuishinbo @ Suntec.
But alas!!!
They were fully booked.
On a weekday??!?!!?!??!
I rest my case.

Plan B: Kuishinbo @ Great World City.

The systematic mutilation and consumption of crabs was a form of art not to be missed.
On this aspect, I must bow to the skills and ruthlessness of Mr Horny.
His dexterity, strength and pure single-mindedness of devouring the crabs brought nothing but tears to my eyes(like real!) and joy to my heart.
I felt for the crabs.
Yes.
They had die-ed a worthy death.

Snapshots of the (belated) birthday boy Mr Kevin Wee.
Huppy Birthday biatch.
A point to note: He can play pool! I'm surprised.
But some things never change.
He still cannot drink.

Snapshots for the rest of us.
Me, BB, Horny and Da Sao.

I had to include this somewhere somehow.
This is one, good, smoking shit.
Looks like a water melon being baked but looks can be deceiving.
BBQ CLAYPOT?!?!?!?
Next time, remind me to save some stomach for this good stuff(cannot bluff!)

& back to the birthday boy.
Presents he got from us.
Box with a fake centipede, check.
Tiger-prints G-String, check.

I'm sorry Wee Wee, the saleslady managed to bamboozle us(okok, me actually, BB wasn't that convinced) into buying the G-String by regaling us with anecdote of a hen pecked husband who thought he could be man enough to subdue the tigeress at home with a tiger-printed G-String. He forgot about the story of 武松打虎. Nuff' said!
PS: So Kevin wee, next time u better dunch be the tiger and ya-ya ah. Your future missus might be a female 武松!!!

This have little relations to do with Kevin Wee.
Just pictures of me and my baby.
Actually it does have something to do with Kevin Wee.
It's to drive up his sugar level. :)
A stunning picture of me to top it up.
With friends like me, who needs to go to the movies for entertainment?
Till the next post....

All About Lovin' You

Looking at the pages of my life
Faded memories of me and you
Mistakes you know I've made a few
I took some shots and fell from time to time
Baby, you were there to pull me through
We've been around the block a time or two
I'm gonna lay it on the line
Ask me how we've come this far
The answer's written in my eyes

Every time I look at you, baby, I see something new
That takes me higher than before and makes me want you more
I don't wanna sleep tonight, dreamin's just a waste of time
When I look at what my life's been comin' to
I'm all about lovin' you

I've lived, I've loved, I've lost, I've paid some dues, baby
We've been to hell and back again
Through it all you're always my best friend
For all the words I didn't say and all the things I didn't do
Tonight I'm gonna find a way

Every time I look at you, baby, I see something new
That takes me higher than before and makes me want you more
I don't wanna sleep tonight, dreamin's just a waste of time
When I look at what my life's been comin' to
I'm all about lovin' you

You can take this world away
You're everything I am
Just read the lines upon my face
I'm all about lovin' you

Every time I look at you, baby, I see something new
That takes me higher than before and makes me want you more
I don't wanna sleep tonight, dreamin's just a waste of time
When I look at what my life's been comin' to
I'm all about lovin' you

All about lovin' you

-- Bon Jovi

When you asked me if I can not make you sick of me,
this song suddenly popped into mind.

I'll never want you to be sick of me.
Cos I'll never be sick of you.

I'm still finding the reason why I'm so head over heels in love with you.

But when I do, I'll write it down and burn it.
And I'll proceed to fall head over heels in love with you.
Again.

Mis.take

Saturday, November 08, 2008

If I said I had a clue what happened last night,
I'll be lying.
Because I ain't got one.
I just know that something went wrong, somewhere, sometime, somehow.

But please do not think that I meant it.
Because I never did.
Something just got lost in translation somewhere, sometime, somehow.

My only defense is that I would never do or say anything intentionally to hurt you or to make you sad.
The preference would be sunshine, rather than rain.

If I could repeat a thousand times how I feel for you,
I'll do it.
TWICE.

"There are no mistakes, no coincidences. All events are blessings given to us to learn from."
-- Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

Maybe something did went wrong somewhere, sometime, somehow.
But please.
Please tell me where when wat why how.
Please tell me so that we can work it out.
For the present, and the future.
So that I can learn from it.

Operation MHK Day 2: Pose, Smile and Capture...

Monday, November 03, 2008

Day 2 was a whirlwind of affairs that started in the morning prior to checking out, after the checking out, having lunch, going to catch the ferry, reaching Hong Kong proper and finally ending up at the hotel. (here I must extend my gratitude to the Bear Jianxiong, who recommended the hotel for us. Was quite the impressed by the hotel and its location. Thanks again bro!)

But as soon as everyone was settled down, we realised that the wonders of Hong Kong should cannot be ignored due to reasons such as fatigue or hunger.
So........ off we go!!!

The cast arrived at the Avenue of Stars. (From left to right: Jamesy, Me, BB, Kevin Wee, Horny, Da Sao.)
Something like the Hollywood one where the Hong Kong stars imprint their palms in concrete and etching them on the sidewalks for everyone and anyone to step on.
Whoever derives pleasure from having their palm prints stepped on is beyond my mortal understanding.

The things we do, the things we see.
No offence to Bruce Lee btw.
We were only goofing around.
Note: Kevin Wee is going to get castrated for it. He's trying to grab Bruce Lee's balls!!!
The gall of it!

Now you see 4.
Now you see 6.

Me: Kevin Wee! WTF you doing?!?!?! Stay in character!!!
Kevin Wee: But I am leh~~~~
Jamesy: Why the fiack am I indulging these buggers to take this picture?

Me: I'm pretending to shout out something but I'm not cos I dunno what else to say already.
Horny: Hmmmmm, shall I kick Timmy in the nuts for making me take such a cock picture?
Jamesy: Oei Horny! More emotions leh!
Kevin Wee: Heng I standing quite far away they cannot see my face clearly. Hahaha(msn laughter)

The cast ended the antics on the account that their stomachs were growling.
Plus they had enough of cam-whoring.
And how do you feed 6 hungry souls?
Why, with good food and desserts of course!

Mug shots of how good the desserts were.
Note the bugger in pink.
Mr Horny was so enthralled by his mango-what-not that he had to roll in eyes in pleasure.
Not the sexual kind of course.

Roaming Temple Street and what nots.
Pasar malam on a grander scale.
Some of us managed to purchase some items of interest.
Such as smelly beancurd, toys, mahjong tile-shaped lighters, jackets, bag etc etc.
What we brought back for free was a load of memories and a bag of smiles.

Some of us decided that the night was still young.
No, wait.
Only da sao who wasn't feeling well decided to call it a night.
The survivors decided to do what they think would be the best form of activity for the late night.
Making Kevin Wee drunk.
Not a diffcult task I might say.
One just need a li'l Heineken and a deck of cards.
Next thing you know. You have a KO.
And if you're lucky, you could be treated to a performance of air-guitar by Kevin Wee!
Book now, and we'll throw in a free drink. For Kevin Wee to aid in his solo performance.
Once again, we'll leave the cast to finish up the night with more alcohol being consumed, some YouTube videos being shown, an air-guitar performance.
And some sleep.
Till the next post...

We ish like Mong Lok...

Touched. By an Angel...

Touched:
- adjective
To affect the emotions of; move to tender response
Example: Having someone wait for 5 hours(including 1+ hour in the dark wilderness outside my camp) just to pass you your favourite burger and coke.

The only things that stopped me from running out to meet you were:
1. I was too far from where you were waiting. By the time I ran there. It'll probably be dawn.
2. Even if I was able to perform the physical aspect of no.1, I'll probably be charged with AWOL.
3. If I were to kena no.2, I will not be able to see you for a long time. Which will probably make me go nuts.

I was never so touched. In my life.

That's why falling in love with you is so easy.
It's the periods without you that's hard.

The many faces of my dear BBBB :)
Have I told you lately, that I love you?

时光机

"Love is a choice you make from moment to moment."
-- Barbara De Angelis

And at that moment, in the past, it was a different person.
From the moment you came into my life, I chose to love you.
Every single moment.

I must confess, at times, I do wish for a 时光机.
Just to change what I've said at times.
Yet, to do so would to be denying myself of the chance.
The chance to pen down what I felt at that precise moment in time.
I'll pen down the feelings and emotions at that moment,
that moment when it is the true me,
the me that is feeling, thinking, happy, sad, angry...
These are the components of me, that made me the me then.
Those are not what I feel now.
The past are events that are rendered obsolete by the passing of time.
The present and the future are the components that matter.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yet, these pages of history ruffled some feathers.
And I can understand why.
Tormented I was, by the pages of your history.
Upset by the possibilities and the implications of the questions you posted a long time ago about the individual whom I'm not dispensed to like anytime in the future.
Jealous of the ones (yes I'm rather cranky regarding this train of thought I must confess) who had the good fortunate to have you in their lives, but never giving you what you deserve.
Regret that I didn't get to know you earlier.
So please don't pin the blame on yourself.

If a confession is to be made, let it be made here and now.
I confess.
I didn't bother explaining not only because I had faith in the love I had, the love we had.
I didn't not do so because I didn't care.
It was the from the sharp pangs of disappoinment.
From the disappointment I felt when you made it sound that my love was so unreliable, so flimsy,
so fake.
Your response had a hint of disbelief in it.
Your messages carried a subtle tinge of rejection in them.
Shocked.
Devastated.
Hurt.
I was momentarily lost.
Rendered speechless.

"If I know what love is, it is because of you."
-- Herman Hesse

I love you BBBB.
I really do.
I really know what love is with you.
And I want you to know that I know.
I want you to know that there's only you.
That although I missed out on you in the past.
I want you in the present.
And the future.
I want you to know that everytime you question my feelings,
I feel hurt, indignant, demoralised, dispirited.
And most of all, untrustworthy.
I really do.

I hope that you still belief me when I say this:
"There is no remedy for love but to love more."
-- Henry David Thoreau

I can't find the right words to say, except what I've said.
There's really no cure to loving you.
Except to love you more.

I've taken up the courage to lay bare my soul,
to say that yes, there was somebody.
But now there's nobody except you.
You.
You who is not a substitute, nor a rebound.
Or anything you might term it as.

There's only one person whom I love now.
It's you.
Miss Veronica Chau Jinqi.
My BBBB.
Now.
Forever.
For the next lifetime.
And the lifetimes after the next.

If these are not enough, I'm sorry.
Because these are really all I have.

Road...

"Still round the corner there may wait. A new road or a secret gate."

-- J.R.R. Tolkien

I'm sorry BB, around the corner there won't be a new road or a secret gate.
Just me.
To bring a smile to your face when you turn the corner and leave your troubles behind.

Operation MHK Day 1: Here, there, everywhere...

Its kind of funny how I never managed to find the time to post the 2nd edition of the long-ago Hong Kong trip but well, I guess this short reservist stint has some advantages afterall (not to mention the overdose of sleep I've been given....)

So we left the cast at the Budget terminal, all geared up and ready to go.
What next?
The plane ride of cos...

While some of us were busy cam-whoring, notice the guy in stripes.
Doing his best to conserve energy. For what purpose, let me keep it a secret for now.
The trip didn't start off too brightly, with the plane being delayed due to the computer screwing up or something along that line.
Not a good start......
Yet despite all the misgivings about the lack of reliability on the plane system, we managed to touch down at the Macau airport, wandered around looking for the elusive free bus that supposedly could get us to the hotel(my bad guys!!!) etc etc.

So what happened to the cast once everything was settled in the hotel?

They went searching for food.
It may not taste the best, but it sure looked good.
Plus we were hungry....

With no time to waste, Operation MHK reached another phase:
Reconnaissance on The Venetian!!!!
After hearing me wax lyrical about the grandeur of this uber huge casino hotel shopping centre or whatever you wanna call it, the rest of them decided that a recon misson to this fabulous place was in order.

Plus there was a Man U megastore there.

We could only stay as long as our jet-lagged bodies could take it, and it wasn't before long the decision beat a hasty retreat back to HQ ala Hotel Sintra was made unanimously.

Shower.
Rest.
Food.
That was the program for the night.
Oops, my bad....
That was the program for the evening...

We(sans Da Sao) eventually found our way to the casino of Grand Lisboa, where cold hard cash were exchanged for chips, where the universal currency is luck, where we camped for several hours.
Operation Huat Ah! wasn't successful for some of us who bled, ie: Me and Jamesy boi.
Mr Horny was able to acquire more ammunition for the rest of the trip though....
Day 2 started off with us trying to drag our arse-s from a long night executing Operation: Huat Ah!
But somehow, we managed to find time for lunch, short shopping trip, smoke session and still ended up on the ferry to Hong Kong.
Which.... will be a tale for another day.....

Goodnight, goodnight....

Saturday, October 18, 2008

Some nights seems to pass longer than the rest.

But tonight, I hope it'll last forever....

Piss-entation...

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

I've learnt some lessons this morning.
Talking well DOES NOT mean that you can present well.
Neither do KNOWING the subject matter at the back of your mind.

Used to think that giving presentation was nothing to worry about.
But recently, I was proven wrong. Not once.
Maybe things ain't just as simple as I had thought it would be....

All the things I've said....

Sunday, October 12, 2008

To say that I have a knack for saying the wrong things at the wrong time will be an understatement.

I have a feeling that I possess the inherent talent to say the WRONG THINGS EVERYTIME...

Sigh.

I'm so sorry................

Falling....

Thursday, October 09, 2008

I'm falling.
Deeper and faster than I've imagined.
But I'm not scared this time.
Because it's you.

Operation MHK Day 1: Introducing........

Tuesday, September 23, 2008

Before we get to the MHK(Macau + Hong Kong) trip proper, I feel that it's only right to introduce the main cast of the show, namely, us.

Without further ado, let us unveil the mystery surrounding these larger than life characters, in order of their arrival timing @ the Budget Terminal............

First up, our very own Aussie-based Stinkaporean:

Name: James
Alias: Cool Snake (he's cool, but rather serpentine in nature......), White B*stard (a legacy from our FDS days, credit to Ang Kong for coining this term...), Jamesy Boi
Traits: Able to speak Chinese like an Ang Moh. Keeping cool @ all times. Credited for being the first guy to call me a moron & slapping me, without offending me. Extremely homophobic.
Time of arrival: 0530 (thereabouts...)

Name: Kevin Wee
Alias: Batman, Wee Wee, Drug Addict (another term coined during the FDS days, by whom I have absolutely no friggin' idea)
Traits: Being blind as a bat. Sprouting random quotes at the most unexpected times. Able to make any normal situation hilarious with his boo boo antics.
Time of arrival: 0800 (thereabouts...)

Name: Hongni
Alias: Alvin, Mr Horny
Traits: Able to converse in several languages, one of which is Vietnamese (in broken phrases, mainly focusing on the subtle variations of vulgarities). Nose will turn RED and STAY red if conditions are not right. Have balls to try Smelly Beancurd. Bear slight resemblance to Ekin Cheng (if he combs his hair with center parting)
Time of arrival: Uber late. 0820 (thereabouts...)

Name: Charmaine
Alias: Mrs Hongni, Da Sao
Traits: Able to tahan all our nonsense. The only lady I know who can probably kick my arse in WoW if I ever play. Penchant for soft toys and cutesy stuff.
Time of arrival: Same as above. 0820 (thereabouts...)

& how can I forget this lady.....

Name: Veronica
Alias: Veron, Big Baby Boo*, Sweetheart*
*these terms apply for me only, muhahahahahhahaha!!!!
Traits: Ability to make me do silly things and take pictures in weird poses. Uncanny telepathy with me. Doesn't like to eat tofu. Oh, and is the sole (un)lucky receipent of my love.
Time of arrival: 0730 (thereabouts...)

Last but not least...
Name: Tim Juan
Alias: Tim, Timmy~~~, Savage Dog, Moron (as coined by James), Big Baby Babi Bubs (as coined by the missus)
Traits: Able to follow street signs and still end up lost. Cam-whore. The other cast member along with Hongni to try Smelly Beancurd. Part-time translator (for Cantonese). Love BBB to bits.
Time of arrival: 0730 (thereabouts...)

The stage is set.
The cast has been introduced.
For more of their(mis)adventures and mishaps, stay tune.

Us. Leaving on a Jet(star) plane......

Operation MHK (Macau + Hong Kong) - Day 0

Friday, September 19, 2008

Day 0 started quite some back, but for convenience's sake, let's just take Day 0 as the night before the MHK trip.
The night when plans were finalised, when the last bak chor mee was consumed, when the gang went home with the anticipation for greater things to come tomorrow.

It was the night before the trip.
Nothing much to talk about here, except for the one last supper @ Bedok 85, the banter being traded, and of cos, the last minute packings that all of us might be guilty of.

This, my friends, is just the beginning.
For coming up, will be posts.
Posts of the things we did, the things we should have done, and the things that some people did and some people didn't.
Posts of MHK..........

Till the next time...

Operation Macau & Hong Kong 2008

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Operation Macau & Hong Kong has concluded.
If given a choice, I would love to have stayed longer, but alas, the four letter word work immediately spring into mind.

Will be arranging the pictures some time soon.
Watch for more posts.....

The final countdown...

Tuesday, September 09, 2008

At this time tomorrow, we'll probably be above the skies of Macau.
's been a while since the BRAVO guys have been on a trip, the last being the not-so-exciting Vietnam trip. (to refresh your memory, the blog post is here.)
's the first time we'll be travelling with Horny and Da-sao, and the first i'll be going with the missus.

Rather excited, but strangely unprepared.
Maybe I need to get into the holiday mode first.
As of now, work seems to be in the driving seat.

But heck, 5+ hours to the end of the working day, 5+ hours to the start of my holidays........
Let's rock & ride.

The big 250

Monday, September 01, 2008

I had no idea that I've reached 250 posts.
Quite da surprising given the recent lack of posts being churned out by me.

I suppose the reasons for the absolute drought of posts in August can be attributed to:

1. I've become MORE lazy. (how is that possible? I'm already as lazy as it is...)
2. I'm consumed by work. (highly likely. This is not a very very fun month for me. Work-wise at least...)
3. I'm too busy with somebody. (I think you know who you are....)

and most importantly.....

4. MY LAPTOP JUST CRASHED!!! = impossible to find a good time to blog using my bro's PC. That plus I can never get used to his keyboard, lack of Picasa program to collage my pics(he refused to let me download any foreign programs in his PC. And by foreign I mean programs he does not need, ie: Picasa, iTunes etc...)

Sigh......................

Anyways, September is finally here. Mixed feelings about the speed at which time is flashing by, yet excited by things yet to come.

In any case, I'll be heading home for a good dinner, slack away the Monday Blues, and maybe... just maybe, see if I can post another one when I'm back.

Did I just let slip that I'm blogging in office? Oops.

Time to... Say Goodbye....

Sunday, August 24, 2008

Our love affair started years ago.
3 years 11 months to be exact.

Over these years we've been through so much.
You followed to me to the far ends of Stink-apore.
You listened to me while I talked endlessly about my problems on the way home, or when I am murdering some songs.
You saw me cry, you heard me laugh.
You were there in those important moments of my life.

And through it all, you never complained. (but then again, how could you...)
But I guess the feelings just developed naturally.
Maybe it's your curves, maybe its your looks.
Maybe it's the vibes I get running my fingers through your body......
I'm still trying to find out...

But alas.
It seems that all good things must come to an end.
Time is running out.

My darling's leaving me.

It's not my choice, but I have no choice.
For the simple reason that... she's a surplus to the family...
It's evil of me, its selfish of me. It's not really me I suppose...

I'm sorry darling, it's finally time.
Time to say goodbye.

My darling...
You've been what I thought you were going to be, and much more....

Goodbye my darling.
It was good while it lasted.
And, it fate so decide, we may.
We just may... meet again.
Take care now, bye bye then....

A good day is...

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

1 part having a big-arsed presentation over and done with.
1 part having your boss telling you "good job" for the presentation.
1 part settling a bank transaction that should have been done ages ago.

And 7 parts having you, being you.

Today.
So far, so good...

Steps.....

Tuesday, August 05, 2008

One small step for mankind.
One big step for me.

Thank you for letting me step into your world.

Words...

Friday, August 01, 2008

"You think that I don't even mean a single word I say...
It's only words
And words are all I have
To take your heart away"

-- "Words" by Boyzone

Rather ironic was randomly played on the way back.
And rather funny how I think of Mr Snake aka Yz with his famous: "Words are cheap lah, in fact, they so cheap its free!"
Sometimes, I just have to agree with him. Sometimes.
Surprisingly, tonight was one of those times.

I've tried walk the talk.
I thought I finally beat the offside trap this time.
I did.
But I stumbled.
And the past caught up with me.
I fended it off, I pushed the ball away.
Only to find the future standing stoic between the goal posts, daring me with a sardonic smile.
I looked it straight in the eye.
I pulled my leg back.
I struck the ball as best as I could.

Now I can only pray.
Pray that I struck it with enough strength, conviction and resolve.

Because if I didn't I will try.
Again.
And again.

And I think somehow, my iPod can sense my mood.
Creepy...

Bedtime story...

Wednesday, July 30, 2008

This story is about a spider.
And this spider happen to be living at the top of a Buddhist monastery, weaving her web, living her life, and of cos, having very much nothing to do, listening to the scriptures and chants and the everything that's going on in the monastery.

So for a 1000 years(dun ask me why, its not possible but hey, it's a story right?), the spider was soaking in the positive essence and the knowledge = she becoming a rather wise spider.
On the 1001st year of her existence, Buddha passed by the monastery and saw the spider, and seeing the spider being rather knowledgeable, asked her a question.
"So what do you think the most important thing in life is?" he asked.
The spider took some time to digest the question before finally replying: "That which you cannot get & that which you have lost."
Buddha just smiled and walked away.

One fine day, spider woke up to find a morning dew hanging on her spider web.
Enchanted by its beauty, the spider stared at morning dew and eventually grew to love it.
But alas!
A sudden gust of wind appeared out of nowhere to blow the morning dew away, and spider was devastated!
However, she managed to get over her grief and normalcy began to settle....

On the 2001st year, Buddha passed by the monastery again, and seeing the spider still in the monastery, asked her the same question.
"So what do you think the most important thing in life is?"
The spider took some time to digest the question like before, but her reply was still the same.
"That which you cannot get that which you have lost."
Buddha smiled again and said "I'll send you to the mortal world to find out."

*Poof*

The spider was reincarnated into a human girl, who grew up to be pretty, wise and incredibly talented.
Eventually, when she reached a marriageable age, she fell in love with a scholar.
Sadly, fate intervened with a cruel twist of fortunes and the man she loved was summoned by the Emperor to marry his beloved daughter princess while spider was betrothed to the majesty's one and only son, Prince X.
Spider was heartbroken even though Prince X loved her dearly.
Her heart was with the scholar, and the thought of them being relatives instead of lovers was too much for her mortal heart to bear.

She went on a downward spiral.
She couldn't eat, drink or sleep. And before long, instead of looking like some supermodel, she became bedridden.
Prince X on the other hand, was going mad.
He visited her constantly, and seeing Spider's life about to expire, began to despair and contemplated taking his own life should his one true love never can get to see the light of another day.
One day, Prince X felt death calling out to his beloved spider and lost it.
He whipped out his royal sword, lifted up his arm, aimed at his own throat and started to plunge the sword into what will be the end of his existence!

Just when the tragedy was about to strike.
Time stood still.
Buddha appeared in front of Spider, and said to her: "The scholar was the morning dew that landed on your web. The princess was the wind that whisked the morning dew away from your web. And the prince, he was the blade of grass outside the monastery that stared at you for 2000 years and fell in love with you."
"So what is the most important thing in life?"

"It is now.", Spider replied.

Buddha smiled, and proceeded to disarm Prince X.

The last I've heard, Prince X and Spider was married and they lived happily ever after.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to Kevin Wee for sharing this story with me.

I've learnt to realise that what is important is not the past that has that which you cannot get or what you have lost, but the present that we may be too blind to see and treasure.
Whatever happened in the past is gone, dead and buried.
And rightfully so.
Whatever happens in the future is an unknown, one moment its there, another moment the wind might just come and whisk it all away.
So why don't I start living the now and treasure what I have instead of harping on the past and spend needless time speculating about the future?
Does the past really matter?
I'm going to try to let some things slide.
And plant both my feet firmly in the present.
The future, well... we can plan for it but not everything will go according to plan, does it?

Most importantly, I don't wanna turn you into a monument of the past and start to worship you with the flowers of regret.
No more what ifs.

Sins of the memories...

Thursday, July 24, 2008

Memories.
They weigh me down in the present.
Chained by the sins of the past, I attempt to hobble into the future.
The funny thing is, they're not mine.
These sins, these blocks, I can say that I understand.
But I can't say that I resent them.

I tried taking a step back, to look at it on a macro level,
to feel, to see, to truly understand the whys.
I only succeeded in doubting myself.

Besieged by a flood of negativity raging in my heart and my head now, I look towards a reprieve.
Soldiering on, I await the cool breeze that comes with every little thing you do.

Things can't change overnight, we both know that.
But the noise of dissent will be stifled.
The next sound you hear will be the soft pingings of the blocks being chipped away.

Happy Birthday boo.

Missing in Action

Friday, July 18, 2008

I apologize for the lack of posts in recent times.
A combination of late home comings, laptop crashing, coupled with an idiotic course that has silly people (no worries I will blog about them) sorta takes the motivation out of blogging recently.

And its funny how things are going in my life right now.
Part happy, part worried, part sweet, part sour, part boring, part exciting, part friends.
But mostly you.
I'm keeping my chin up, my eyes focused and my pace... slowly I guess.
Afterall, patience seems to be my only good virtue ain't it? :)

Hopefully, yes hopefully, I'll burn brighter than sunshine.

Till the next time, take care now, bye bye then.

PS: Might attempt to take some pictures for my course tomorrow.... I mean later. Will post them up if.... Gawdammit!!!! I forgot my lappy just crashed!!!

From dawn to dusk...

Saturday, July 12, 2008

Yesterday was a rather hectic day for me.
Wait.
Rather sounds rather mild.
It was downright busy.
From dawn to dusk...

First up, my darling decided that enough was enough.
I've pushed her too hard.
I've been neglecting her, spending less and less quality time with her.
She sensed my waning love.
I don't go down on my knees every alternate days while exploring her various curves and corners no more.
I never whisper sweet nothings to her anymore, just getting in and bailing out.
I seldom run my fingers lightly all over her no more.

She had enough.
And exacted the best revenge she could.
She refused to start.
Yes!
My darling car refused to start her engine yester-morning.
I was running late.
I was desperate.
I cajoled, I pleaded, I beg, I kissed, I fondled, I opened her up, I pressed hard, I prayed, I did almost everything imaginable.

But she refused to start.
And the best part was: I parked diagonally behind both my brothers' cars = cannot use also.
KNNBCCB!!!
Of all days I chose to park in such bizarre manner it must be this day that my car refuse to move!!!@!!@!

SIGH.....................................

Comedy moment of the morning:
Me: Eh Daddy ah, why not we try to push the car out, afterall, the driveway is sloping leh...

Dad looked at the car, turned around and looked at me.

Dad: What makes you think we can push it?

I looked at the car, I looked at him.
I grabbed my bag and started running out to catch a cab...

Oh another note, here's what happened in the office....

Justin doing a great impersonation of a vampire when confronted with a middle finge... I mean a holy relic.

Da Jie with her owe-$-pay-$ look.

Spence just sitting there having a what-the-f*ck-the-cup-is-doing-between-my-legs look.

After lunch, it was off to the Asian Civilisations Museum!
I love Training Day....

Some snapshots of the ACM...

A flood of pictures showing the different exhibits on display...

The guided tour was but part 1.
Some of the more adventurous/ less shagged personnel went for a 2nd tour around the museum.
As for some of us..........

Steven giving a I-don't-really-give-a-flyin-f*ck look.

One looking bored, the other really bored and making funny faces.

My favourite. A collection of me cam-whoring.
----------------------------------------------------------

Managed to get the haircut before meeting with Horny and Da-sao.
It was initially a session to finalise Operation Hong Kong + Macau with maybe a movie thrown in. There was only a fatal flaw in the logic: It was a Friday.
It was as if there was a portal somewhere that somehow opened up in Orchard to deposit hordes of demons and what-nots.
The whole Orchard Road was friggin' packed!!!
Seeing the futile resistance in trying to purchase tickets for good seats for the recent blockbusters, we decided to just assuage our hunger and leave the rest of the programs to later.

Us @ Big O and WineBos(yes we shifted there for drinks after grabbing Kevin Wee. It was also at the point of time when meine handphone decided to give up the ghost and remain comatose for the lack of power.)
Comedic moments of the evening:
1.
Me: Hey Mr Horny, help me carry my bag while I go try out my pants.
Hongni giving me an incredulous stare: Do I look like a friggin' boyfriend to you?
Me turned around and proceed into the changing room.

2.
Me: Ok now the pants are settled, I just need to look for shoes.....

Hongni whipping around in double quick time to stare daggers.
Me: On the other hand.... I can always do it another day.....

3.
Hongni: You have cash or not, if have then I pay first. (fishing out his DBS card)
Me: I got..... (while keeping my OUB card)
Waiter: Sir, if you pay using OUB card(Horny starts fishing out his UOB card) you can get a complimentary desser.....(waiter saw the UOB card, shut the fiack up, turned and walked back towards the counter)
Me & Da-sao: Wahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!
4.
At Winebos, in the middle of a conversation between me, Horny and Da-sao...
Kevin Wee: Sir, I think you dropped your cork....
Us(stunned momentarily): Buhahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

But nothing comes close to this:
Mudpie: The Dark Side
I give you.
The one.
The only.
The Way a mudpie like this(refer to picture above) should be eaten....

The IntroductionThe look of hunger, of desire.
The mudpie perched on the tip of the fork, balanced by a hand that was straining not to shove the oh-so-sinful dessert into the mouth.

The ComplicationThe eyes are starting to glaze over, the hints of euphoria creeping up on the face, the dessert meeting its slow but surely demise with stoic determination at the tip of the fork.

The Action
The eyes shut gently in anticipation.
The face a picture of concentration.
The lips, pursed tightly around the fork to sweep any remnants of the dessert into the cavern known as the mouth.
The hand, so perfectly perched in the form that it knows best. The form that means the smooth delivery of the dessert to the intended receipent, the mouth.

The Climax Eyes squeezed shut.
Face scrunched in the climatic moment of esctacy.
Hand is weak, devoid of strength, falling back from the perfect form.
Body is tensed with the dessert slowly rolling down the throat.

The denouement
A picture of Zen.
Need I say more?

Special thanks to:
Director: Alvin Tan Hongni aka Horny
Actor: Tim aka Timmy aka ME.

We present... a series of pictures known as: "The Dark Side in the Darker Side."

And I have to add this in:
No I'm not drunk.
Apparently Da-sao claims I look better if I don't smile.
What say you?
