The missus and I had a pact quite some time ago.
In hindsight, it was more of a attempt to make me get down to blogging on our Taiwan trip.
So after almost a month, the lazy me finally found some time to start on my part: Day 2.
These pictures are not from Day 2, but I realised the missus left them out.
They are probably what I term as: best friggin shit that happened!Let us just imagine the scenario:
2 hungry BBs, after a 6+ hours plane ride + 1 hour(or thereabouts) cab right + 30 min checking in the hotel = 2 friggin' hungry BBs!
I never seen 2 persons dump luggage so fast before.
Next thing that happened, the 2 BBs were wandering the streets along the hotel, hoping to find some food assuage when they saw: Chou Chou Guo (loosely translated: Smelly Pot) = Pictures are as above.
Timmy boy's verdict?
It is some GOOD SHIT!!!!!!!
I kid you not. The soup was good, although there was an overdose of vegetables. Coupled with free flow rice, drink and a serving of ice cream. The price we paid wasn't too expensive at all...
Okok, and now, to Day 2......
Day 2 was rather hectic in the morning, seeing that we had to check out and catch the transport to get us to 九份.
I guess that taught me a lesson in planning ahead. Way ahead...
But guess what?
The BBs managed to find their way to 九份!!!
Let's just say that in Taiwan, the people are more helpful in pointing out directions to you.
And I mean pointing out directions.
The BBs in their various poses.
All about the train station, and probably thingys around it.
My lovely Baby Boo in her various poses...
Some snapshots of the place that we were residing in.
Even More snapshots of the place we were residing in.
@ this point of time, I guess I must do a li'l bit of advertising.
For those who are interested in staying over a night in 九份, check out this site: http://windsor.idv.tw/ They have a host of different rooms for you to choose from, and I must say, it is friggin' nice!!
I kid you not, just take a look at the place we had for the night. Although it might be rather pricey if you compare it to most budget hotels, the decor will more than make up for it...
Me. Camwhoring.
Random shots with the SLR.
My favourite.
The gastronomical trip!
九份 has nothing much to do I confess.
Maybe the timing that we arrived wasn't enough for us to do much sightseeing, but at least we fired off some shots of the mountains and stuff.
The rest of our time?
We spent it walking around the lanes of 九份 looking for...........
More Food!!!
Special mention to this lady selling sausages. Apparently this is her costume and if you take pictures with her without buying anything, its ok!!!!
That's when I realised it was a ploy to get more people to buy things from her.
Because if you have a hide that is less thick than a rhinoceros, you will feel obliged to buy something from her.
Plus she was selling sausages, how hard is it for me to resist?
This picture can probably sum up our trip in 九份. Quest for food....
The BBs never forget to indulge in a li'l madness. In this case, it was a friggin' huge can of Heineken.
Nuff' said.
Over to you BB.....
