Goodbye... and Hello!

Sunday, December 31, 2006

That's it folks.
The end of a year.
Another year.

This 06 seems to pass by in a flash, maybe its me, maybe its more than me.
From schooling to slacking to finally working.
All in a span of a year.

What a year it has been, but as usual, meine reflections of this year will come...
much later I suppose.
Given the half awake state I am in now and the slow ticking of the clock that will eventually strie the tune for my departure... let's leave the heavy duty stuff for another day eh.

As of now, I'll be happily munching on my chocs, transferring files, surf, read.
And finally say goodbye to 2006.

Hello 2007...

A morbid post, if I might add...

Friday, December 22, 2006

I have no idea why I'm hammering this post out on the eve of my departure to Hong Kong.
Must be the damn vodka...

On the other hand, maybe it was the lack of effort and a hell lot of other reasons that I have yet finished the Grand Project to show to someone.
Maybe that's why I'm hammering this out now, instead of resting for tomorrow.

Cos I have things left unsaid.
Things left undone.

I want so much to tell a certain person that I would love to talk to her,
but I dunno if I can like her.
I want so much to tell her that guess what?
I kinda like her....

Maybe it'll be pointless,
maybe it'll be useless, after all that's been said and done.
But I will never want to be in a 'what-if' situation again.
Hence, the madness in wanting the project to be completed.

We all have our fears.
Mine is that you'll never know how much I like you.

Friggin morbid/mushy post.
Think I best get some sleep.

See ye all after Xmas...

A great movie outing.
What's a good movie?

A free movie.

Yups, and kudos to Nings, we got free tickets to catch Confessions of Pain, and I must say.
Good show...
But shan't say so much cos I'll be accused of spoiling the show,
which I have been guilty of many a times. (if ya're reading this...remember X-Men, Jase?)

Anyway, here's some pics that I should post up before a gang of people appears in front of my house to demand them....

Cubsy and Jono with cute li'l Santa hats

Blurry pic of people looking at the menu.

Junyan(man of the night) and Nings starting the insane moments of playing with sparklers(hoped I got the spelling right)

Group picture in the cafe.

Either Jono was walking away, or he's... walking away.

Nings, Danlin and Jono

Nings and Me.

Still nings and Junyan fiddling with the sparklers...

Danlin in a cute pose.

Our 2nd group pic. Pity the uncle who wanted to take a good shot of the scenery when all we wanted was US in the picture...

I call this. Winter Sonata. :)

The rest of the pics.... I will attempt to condense them and sent them to ye all.
Somehow.
Sometime.
In the meantime, I hope all these pics will suffice. For now at least :p

PS: Those interested parties will be relieved to know that meine "Winter Sonata" pic was not taken anyway lomantic. Venue was Shaw Prince, just opposite Beach Road. And the damn things were Xmas decorations beside Subway, though Danlin commented that they looked vaguely like something from Chronicles of Narnia....

PPS: For those who are really interested, the scarf was not mine. It's Kev's. He brought and wore a scarf to meet us. Here in friggin' Stinkapore and its weather. Rock...

PPPS:I don't usually smile like that. USUALLY.

Wednesday

Had lunch with someone from the past.
My past.
IF.
If this had happened, then things might have turned out differently, eh?
But like what we agreed on.
It doesn't make a difference now babe, does it?

Dinner:

Tony Roma's at the Orchard Hotel. Hence the long sleeved shirt. (archally that was for another place but we shan't dwell on that...)
The rest of them feeling rich and eating rich would be:

Lady Boss

Mr Snake(aka Xiao Bai)

And finally, the man who jus came to join us...

Kevin Wee aka Lobart

After dinner activities,
Eragon.
Not a bad show, but not good either.
3 ciggys out of 5.
Not worth a weekend watch.

The 3 survivors of a friggin' fierce Tony Roma's dinner.

Thank you guys, for the dinner invitation, the show watching, and of cos, the company.
One of the reasons why I still miss NUS...

Thursday

The (un)holy Four-ckers meet up at long last.
Holland V, Starf**ks.

Mr Wong and Mr Snake

Jem our resident swindler.. I mean lawyer.
*Notice I wasn't in the pictures cos I was the one taking them, plus I have'nt gotten the rest of the pics from Jem yet...

We should do this more often too guys.
Our meet ups are too far and few...

Evening was steamboat dinner with the crew of "Love under the sign of the Dragon".(corny name I know...)
As usual, I got lost trying to navigate the labyrinth of life = late.
Had a relatively ok dinner.
Had a better coffee session later though.
Define irony:
Irony is me missing you even though you were sitting just across me.
Irony is listening to your 'love rival' telling you things that you didn't know about a certain someone, things you wished you knew, and things you probably won't know if he hadn't said anything.
Ah... the little ironies of life.
To top off an exciting day, met up with the Snake, led him to MoS, and proceed to leave the car there.
Reason being?
Sending someone back. But that's for us to know. And not for ye all to find out.

Friday

Stayed at home.
Nuff' said.

Saturday

Housewarming party at Jase's 'house'.

Sunday

Sleep.
Soccer.
Dinner.
Soccer(watching).
Sleep(or the lack of it)

And this week, well, its a whole new week folks...

Collide

The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you
Yeah

I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I won't see your face
Light up again

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide

I'm quiet you know
You make a first impression
I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find
You and I collide

You finally find
You and I collide

-- Howie Day

I have no idea but this song has been on repeat recently.

It's raining now.
It's raining for some time now.
Outside.
Inside.

Reality check yesterday.
Treading on a thin line between bravery and stupidity.
One might even say confidence and arrogance.
What say you?

My back hurts,
my shin feels sore,
my toes feel numb,
my throat feels itchy.

My mind's a mess.
And my heart.
Whatever that's left of it still aches.

Resolve. My Resolve...

Friday, December 08, 2006

K: You're like Ichigo, I can't see your resolve.

Me: Eh?

K: I can't see your resolve in doing this thing. Take for example, your waking time this morning. You're never late for something that you want...

Me: Hm...(while still trying to digest my lunch and drink coffee at the same time)

Me: I guess you're right...

K: I only agree to help you in this because I believe in what you're doing, if not, I wouldn't take MC...

--fast forward to 10 minutes later...

Me: You're right. I need to have the resolve to do this thing, if not, it'll be wasted.

Me holding the damn ciggy like upright between my thumb and index, grasped the coffee cup tightly, and looked at K straight in the eyes.

Me: This, I promise you... Is my Resolve.

Thanks biatch.
You made me remember why I was doing all this.
Phase 1 is almost complete.
Wish me luck for the remaining parts...

I think I...

Need to stay at home more often.

Yup.

I suddenly feel like my house is kinda alien to me nowadays, given the amount of time I spent outside and at home.
It's a miracle my parents can tolerate it thus far.

Plus I need some time to stay home and really blog, instead of just hammering out a few words and try to pass it off as a post.
Come think of it, its been quite some time since I've updated everyone(who still bothers to read meine blog) and myself on what's been happening in my life now.

A summary would be:
Working
Driving
Drinking(both coffee and beer and what nots)
Thinking/Planning
Talking cock

I need to do settle down somehow.
Here's to friday then, the last day of my contract.

And till the next time...

Operation Zouk starts... now

Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Finally, the long awaited Operation Zouk with the RECCOS guys is finally here.
In about an hour's time I suppose, seeing how I'm waiting for Berd da Anaconda to finish bathing so I can use the toilet to 'style' meine hair and slap on some make-up and stuff.
Right.

If all else goes wrong, this will be the 3rd night in a row I'm overworking my liver.
But seeing the weakened state that I am in now, drinking should be the last poison I need to inject into the system.

The blood is pumping, the heart is around there, the spirit is willing, and the flesh... well, the flesh can be tempted to move by 'some' drinks and ciggys.

And since Berd da Cock is ready, let's get it on!!!!

Und bitte!

In english, meaning: "And Please".

Such is the manner the Germans start their filming process.
But basically, its the same shit to me.

This is a helluva tough shoot.
Maybe its because my favourite gay buddy Kevin Wee ain't working in this one,
maybe its because there's usually only one PA that the Assistant Director like to find,
maybe its because the other PAs are occupied with other logistics stuff.
Maybe maybe maybe.

My arse hurts.
Seriously.
My ankles are getting swollen.
And numb.
Thank god for Tiger Balm medicated plasters.
My back is starting to give way.
Again.
My hands are scratched by some KNN plants.

The list goes on.

But I'm doing what I like.
Despite the aches and the pain,
the constant lack of sleep,
the deprivation of social life,
the neverending arguments with my parents and such.
I like this job.
I really do.
And I'm glad Ed pushed me into this, instead of letting me just go NATO on him(again).
Thanks bro.
I owe you 1x big one.

I really appreciated what Horny told me last night.
That I was living my dream.
I guess... in a way, I'm living the way that I want my dream to be realised,
maybe its un-glam,
I'm underpaid, overworked.
But step by step.
I will walk through the f**king path.

Till I can't walk no more.
Or I strike the lottery.

On a lighter note,
working with Germans are quite interesting.
They're perfectionist,
which makes life on set a living bitch,
but life after set much easier.
Cos they most often than note will wrap on time, or even early.
It's their principles.

Oh, and Wong Li-Lin's in this shoot.
One word to describe her:
HOT.
End of story.

There's so much more that I can babble about, so much more that I can crap.
But my f**king eyes are giving up on me after an hour of sleep last night.

Taking a nap now before heading to the snake's lair for match watching.

Till the next early wrap...

The Friday, Saturday and Sunday after...

Friday

The stage was set.
The time was right.
The players, they were ready.
Most importantly, the ball was inside.
Inside the car boot.

And so there we were.
4 guys playing 'monkey' in the middle of the night, in the middle of a carpark in NTU.
Me, Berd, Beng and Jase. (Xw too shagged to join us so he became our audience for around 5~10 minutes before driving off. Actually I think he was on the phone lah...)

It was fun I must say.
4 guys playing like it was the middle of the day with absolute no regard for anything else.
Shiok.
Topped it up with supper at the '179' coffeeshop. Or in some of them's words, the 'Ah Lian' coffeeshop.

Saturday

Various states of vegetation at home and my grandma's house.
Managed to pull myself together to meet Jamesy boi and Kevin Wee.
Was supposed to be this sudden desire to have a get together on Wee's birthday.
Too bad Mr Horny was away in Shanghai.
There were umbrella poking, reckless driving, sharp braking, toilet searching, cigarettes smoking, match watching, beer drinking and best of all, butt crack ogling.
And not to forget the talk on the way home.

Sunday

Stoned at home.
Dragged myself out for the Arse-nal Liver-pool match.
Came home.

And now, let's see what we can do for this week....

Never say NEVER....

Wednesday, November 08, 2006

Never say never.
That's what my boss(aka Daniel) said to me like what, 10 minutes ago?

The reason?
Reason being: I'm friggin back at Chris' studio again.
For those who dunno(which includes most of the people reading this...), Chris' studio was the site for my very first shoot.
The shoot that lasted a grand total of 25 days(including preparation and clearing up...)
It was also the shoot that led me to work with Boku films, and the subsequent projects later, yada yada...

To cut a long stor short, me and Kev were having a smoke break just before the end of the shoot and we did mention something like never coming back to the studio for a long long time.

Guess what.

In less than a month after the wrap of the first shoot, we were back here again, for a product shoot.
And now.
I'm back here again.
For another shoot.

Here's to saying NEVER.

One can never say things too early.
Really.

PS: Anyway I'm typing this out at Chris' studio, in Ubi Ave. 3, leeching off his wireless... Song Bo~~~~

PPS: I'm falling asleep.... :(

Dreams. Reality. Check

Sometimes, it only takes a moment for a dream to die.
Boom. Kaboosh.
That's about it.

Much as I shamelessly try to convince others(more often than not people like Kev, Snake etc...) and myself that maybe a certain 'dream' of mine is happening, or can happen, it is only a matter of time before it dies.
It just died.
Last friday.

So much for the I'll do this I'll do that.
When it came to the crunch time, either I was
1. too busy
2. to shagged
3. too scared.
*if you ask me, option 3 happened most of the time, with option 1 a close 2nd...

Finished.
The shoot for Zizi has ended.
And so did my dreams.
She's out of my life. (for now I hope) and its a near-impossible chance that I will get to talk to her, much less ask for her contact number and stuff.
And the sister you say?
There is a fine line between being brave and stupid.
Asking for her number on the risk of losing my professionalism(and my job) is just plain stupid.
Your friend, you say?
Bollacks.
That is absolutely insane. Not to say that it will totally turn the other party off.

So there.
I didn't get to get any contact numbers, signature, picture, yada yada.
All I got was a train full of memories in my mind.
And of cos a paycheck.

The other dream died when we(me and Kev) met up with JW.
Erbium?
Nah.. I don't think so.
I saw the instant death of the dream when he uttered the words:
"Basically I'm sick of that idea.".
We were too... I guess.
To a certain extent.
There were some times that we thought it might make it.
During the coffee sessions, the smoking sessions, the supper sessions....
We told ourselves, that if we ever start it, we'll make it to the highest and become the biggest.
In the end.
We just waited.
Look at us now.
All figures on different paths.
One following the need, the other following the riches, and the last one following his dream.
Am I sad?
Honestly I don't know.
I like what I'm doing.
But I'll do what it takes so that I can do what I like in the future.
It just that our dreams took a reality check.
And realised that it was found wanting...

How easy dreams die.
Just over the weekend is enough...

Another quiet sunday?

Monday, November 06, 2006

I thought that today will be a quiet day for me.
Playing ball in the morning, clearing up some stuff in the afternoon, taking a nap, dinner, etc etc...

But guess what?

I can seldom spend an evening at home without having a shouting match with my parents.

Yes.
It is that bad.
The only time when I can have some peaceful evening time at home is when:

1. they are both out
2. mum is out
3. dad is out
4. i'm knocked out.

No wonder I FUCKING hate to stay at home.

Suddenly, I dread the words: "Its a Wrap!"

Thursday, November 02, 2006

Its not often that I dread to hear the words that signal the end of my work.
Last night... no I mean this morning, was probably the first time that I don't want a shoot to finish.

Why?

Cos I'm filming with Zizi!!!!!
*for the un-Timmyified, Zizi is none other than Stefanie Sun Yanzi, my favourite-st celebrity of all time, the only woman in the world(other than my mum) who can make me tremble at the sight of her... the list goes on.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I was lucky enough(with Kev also) to do this shoot with Zizi, so what did I do to impress this lady of my dreams?

I served her rice.

Yes.

Lim bei was the designated bugger who was supposed to hold this damn bowl of rice to serve her.
But lo and behold!
I got an appreciative THANK YOU and a smile that made me melt. Literally. Although this can be explained by the intense heat caused by the bleddy lights but whatever....

I still can't get over it.
ZIZI SMILED AT ME!!!!!

I think I might faint.

But I never leh.
Cos I professional.
Wahahahaahahaahahahahahaha~~~~~

And to think that bloody Kevin Wee wanted to bring a belt to leash me.
To spare Zizi the emotional trauma should I go ga-ga and 'Hello' her.
Too bad he got locked at home.

Oh, and the icing of the cake was.......
Zizi's younger sis was there too.
And she smiled at me too.
Wahahahahaahahah~~~~~~
It's like having 2 Zizis smiling at me.

Phew~~~~

Not to mention the cute gal who was acting as Zizi's 'younger sis'.
Another eye candy for me to pass the time while waiting for the 'main course'.
And yesh.
She smiled at me too.

I figured it must be the new hair.
Or my BO.
Or both.

Need to get some sleep now.
Its late, I'm shagged, and Kev is peering over my shoulder while I'm trying to translate these euphoric feelings into words.
Tsk tsk. Shame on him.
*Yesh, I'm staying over his place cos I noob enough to tell my mum it was an overnight shoot(which it almost was) hence leading to her double locking the doors = no place to sleep at home.
** And I'm still trying to persuade the biatch Kev to share his bed with me.

PS: I might have a chance to work with her again.

PPS: Did I say that Zizi smiled sweetly at me?

PPPS: She touched my hands also. I'm not gonna wash them for at least 3 weeks.

PPPPS: Damn I just bathed.

Monday Blues, Hamstrung and of yah. Work...

Monday, October 30, 2006

Its the damn Monday again.
Work is supposed to start in exactly one hour but at this point of time I'm still blogging.
What the fiack.

Totally no mood to move at all.
Maybe it was the pulled hamstring from yesterday.
Or maybe I'm jus too plain lazy.

The coffee is still unfinished.

To work, to work...

And I think I hear "ACTION" again...

Wednesday, October 18, 2006

I really should be sleeping early today.
Come think of it, I should be sleeping now.
Call time is like what, 8 hours plus later?
And the best case scenerio if I'm there late?
I'll probably be fired on the spot.
The worst case scenerio?
Getting my arse ripped open by everyone ranging from the director to the assistant director to the producer to the art director to the talents to the sound guys to the lighting guys to the camera guys to the android.
Oh wait, strike the last one out.

Anyway, its been quite a fair bit of time since I've last blogged. Again.
Reason being:
1. My router has moved to a position so blocked that I can't even receive any signals from my bro's room, much less my room, thus the only signal that I manage to conjure out from is my neighbour's. Which is unstable at best.
2. I've been gaming too damn much.
3. I'm just plain lazy.
4. There's really nothing interesting happening in my life now at this point of time anyway.

Oh wait.
Maybe there was.

Let's see...
it has something to do with a certain Gundam Model and a modelling shop, throw in the owner of the shop for good measure.
As for the story, it's blog-worthy, but not for today.

Today's a night to rest, have an emo-trip(no thanks to you bitch - Kev) and maybe sneak a beer or 2 upstairs later.

So long...

Finally done...

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

Finally its over for me.
As of now at least.

The van is back to where it was,
so are the clothes,
the boxes,
the cartons of drinks,
the this and that.

I'm back home too.
Staying home pretty much for the next few days I guess.
Except the odd trip back to the office to get the cheque, returning of fines and books, blah blah blah.

Was tellin Kev over lunch today, if we continue in this line, our social life is going to be shat.
Not to say that we have terribly exciting lives now anyway...

Few things that I really need to do these few days:
1. clean up my room
2. clean up my bags
3. clean up myself (right...)
4. pay bills/fines
5. return books
6. borrow books
7. buy air brush(hopefully)
8. buy new Gundam models
9. buy street soccer boots.
10. PLAY SOCCER

The normalcy of life still hasn't caught up with me.

On...

Monday, September 25, 2006

Time
20 days since I've last posted,
15 days(hopefully!) till the end of the shooot,
and 2 days since I've met...

Money
It's never figgin' enough

Friends
Some I see, some I don't.
For those who I was not able to meet up with, I'm sorry, will try to meet up after the shoot.
For those who I was able to meet up with, you guys are lucky. lol
I do miss having the time to see everyone.

Driving
I like driving.
But not when averaging 120+ km a day, having a damn box that beep everytime I go over 65km/h, and stuff behind the van that makes weird sounds when I make that sharp turn.

Ciggys
Some days I smoke.
Some days I smoke a lot.
Some days... I just quit.

Eating
Recently eating became less of a need, more of a chore.
I eat to sustain myself. On a meal a day. Dinner.
Rest of the time, I have either no time or no appetite.

Drinking
I need my beer.
And whiskey.
And wine.
And vodka.
And the list goes on...

Love
Told Ed last night, no... the night before, that I stopped believing in love a long time ago.
Maybe what I stopped believing was the notion of love that I had.
But love is... just a lyric in a children's rhyme?

Dreams
She said: So what was your dream?
He said: I wanted to be a musician.
She said: So were you good at it?
He said: Eh? No lah....
He said: So what's your dream?
She said: I want to be fashion designer.
He said: Then what happened?
She said: I have no money...
He said: Hahahahah! Isn't it the same as me?
She said: No, we're not the same. You're giving up your dream for money. I'm doing things that I don't like to get money for my dream...
So what am I doing?
Am I pursuing my dream?
Or am I living the dream?

Family
Minimal contact with them recently.
Longest time I spend with them is around 4 hours, which is today.
Mum still hasn't spoken more than 10 lines to me, in a week. Rock.

Reading
Doing bits and pieces here and there.
Starting on Life of Pi now, might take some time to finish.

Sleep
Having bad time sleeping.
Having not much time for sleeping to be exact.

Job
I'm ok with this job.
At least I'm learning things.
Things about the art side of a production,
things about the art side of myself,
things about... well, just things.
My boss(es) ain't too bad. They're pretty good actually.
The only question is: will this be my first and last job?

Football
Didn't manage to play ball,
managed to watch ball but was pissed after watching.
Managed to scam some points for my Fantasty League team. (Ed, I think I overtook you again, wahahahahahaha!!!)

Misc
Already plotting the next 'project' after the shoot.
But need time and money. Kevin Wee might know something about it.
Oh wait, that makes it 2 'projects'.

PS: For those who are interested in meeting me, call me after the 9th of Oct. That's when I'll most likely be done. In the meantime, will be consumed by work(I hope not...)

PPS: And that's all for now folks.

A Tale of 2 Extremes...

How's life recently for me?

Of extremes I guess.

Either I'm not at home, or I'm always at home. :)

Been out for the weekends.

Friday was at Minds Cafe with the RECCOS guys, had tons of fun there.
Lots of laughs, like Snake and his Workers' Party mentality, Yifang(dua soh) and her 'look' whenever Xw block her, Seng and his 'dog-shit' luck, Jase and his 'follow Seng' mentality.. the list goes on...
Topped it up with supper at Geylang = SHIOK~~~

Saturday found me in Bedok in the evening, due to some cock up at home, couldn't meet my future boss. Sigh.
But managed to catch Wee wee at Bedok for a cup of tea and some talk cock session before meeting some of them Sutcliffe people for dinner.
Topped it up with a trip to Ronald's house that climax-ed with 5 guys in the car with Eiffel 65's "Blue(Da Ba Dee)" blasting in the background = ROCKING~~~

Sunday, Monday and Tueday wasn't that exciting.
I stayed at home. lol

And that's the story of my life.
Of extremes....

BansheeCat Dolls, F**k That and Westside...

2. Back for good(by F**k That)
3. Fool again(by Westside - ok this one cheating a bit cos Ed got off the car liao, only left me singing...)

Tickets are selling at 1 pack of Marlboro each.
Ear plugs provided, barf bags are available upon request.

PPS: Kudos to jie jie(Jayne) who sat through various sessions, the newest song being murdered being Unchained Melody by the Wrongness Brothers.

How about lunch at Ed's, prawn-ing at Jurong, supper at Bedok?

Thursday, August 31, 2006

Had curry at Ed's house yesterday afternoon.
Thanks once again to jie jie(Jayne) and Ed.
Good to have Paul for company too, both in eating and smoking.

Home cooked meals just taste extra good.
Like Ed said, it just felt so surreal.
It did.
A rainy afternoon, a hot bowl of curry, a plate of glazed chicken wings...
We need to do lunch again, yah?

Supposed to meet up with Kev in town.
Imagine the shock and horror when I heard that the Snake and Lady Boss was joining us too.
Had a hard time deciding what we were going to do.
It was a choice of movies ranging from SnaP(Snakes of a Plane) to Love Wrecked.
Both were as tempting as a strawberry cake. Yucks.

After much debating and even more trashing of bad ideas, we finally decided to do this:

Prawn fishing. Snake(Xiao Bai) just relac one corner on the chair while the cam whore(me) just needed to act cute.

Here's the other kakis:

Kev(Wee) and Berd(da Anaconda)

Not forgetting our fisher(wo)man of the day:

Lady Boss(Pei Pei) who fed us with a grand total of... wait, 7 prawns. (for the record, lim bei caught 0, wee wee caught 5, and I think berd got the other 2. Wait, that means Snake also catch 0?!?!?)

There's a special place for people who didn't manage to catch anything:

The BBQ pit. (nabei, how come me and berd like quite happy like that?)

Oh... take a look at this:

I'm hungry again. Though I'm still sore from the fact that one of these buggers pinched me...

And at the end of the trip, we realised a few things:
1. its a cheaper hanging out alternative than drinking, since we can share rod = cutting down costs.
2. we can come better prepared next time, ie: bring snacks, drinks, ciggys, and most importantly, BBQ stuff. Really! The uncle told us that we can bring stuff to bbq here while we attempt to complement our diet with prawns.
3. there're roles for everyone to play. And its based on meritocracy. If you can't fish, then you jolly well go be a cook/bait hooker(the poor bugger who has to put the bait on the hook)/prawn peeler(the unfortunate sod who has to peel.. more like rip the prawn off the hook)
4. that it's quite fun actually.

Marlboro moment of the day(its worth not smoking a Marlboro for):

Tim(walking towards Kev):
Hey, how's it going balls?
Kev(staring at rod):
Hm... still nothing
Kev(staring at water below the rod): Eh, why is the float moving towards my direction ah?
Tim: You cock-a-nathan!!! That means there's a prawn tugging it lah!!!
Kev: Oh.
Kev proceeds to pull the rod up with a prawn dangling on the hook while Timmy bends down to start laughing his balls off.
Sweet.

Through a wine glass, not so brightly...

Yes, I've found the bottle of whiskey again.
Apparently, this damn thing is older than me and probably taste better than me, since it was one of the many wedding gifts than my parents received.
I think.

But oh well, can't say no to a bottle just wasting its life away can I?

One of the few pleasures in life that I have now, and drinking free beer/whiskey/wine any other day is just one of them.
Smoking too.
Only catch would be I can't smoke in front of my parents, unlike drinking... wait a minute, I don't really drink in front of them too...

And guess what, I've forgotten the purpose of this blog post.

Oh fuckit.

And he said: "Do we have to?"

Sunday, August 27, 2006

Me: Hey ask you something ah... for all that's been said, how come we never think of explaining things to our parents?"

Him: "Do we have to? Our actions will prove them wrong."

I hope that day will come.

For now, we're still jobless, and I'm not so proud of it anymore.
I'm broke, harangued, nagged at, looked down by... the list goes on.

Am I too slack or still trying to hold out for the perfect job?
Even I dunch quite know about it.

The late night supper for this Saturday were various forms of  'TT Durai'.
The score for the fantasy league is quite dismal.
The time I reached home was around 3.
The time I spent playing Dota is around 2 hours.
The time I have to sleep is slightly less than 2 hours.

And I'm still jobless.
And broke.

I quit.

PS: For those who sees funny symbols, try changing the encoding. I dunno what the fiack is wrong again...

So MOS it was... and Changi too.

Either I'm getting too old to club, or I'm getting too damn old to club.
Maybe I should've went down Mambo last night.
But I have a feeling if I gave up MOS tonight, there will be some people out for my blood...

Anyway...

Some miserable shot I manage to take of the bash.

Didn't think of bringing anything remotely resembling a camera sans my trusty phone down, so there...

Me and Kev talked about it on the way home(he was going home, me was heading to Changi chalet) and we realised that the people that we club with makes a difference.
Not to say that the company we went down with was bad, but like always, it just feels different.
We do see people we know here and there, saying hi and all.
But nothing beats the feeling of just walking around looking at people you DO actually KNOW, not close but you do know of their existence, like "hey, isn't that so-and-so dancing with this-and-that?".
Or something like that.

Our era has passed.

Remind me next time to just go clubbing with people I know.

Changi was another story.

Scene at the Changi chalet. Playing the drinking game.
One word: alcohol. I think there was more alcohol than food. Serious.
And for those who are concerned, nope, I didn't drink and drive. I drive after I drink, and piss-ed.
Remind me to try my darndest best to stay over at chalets when there's more alcohol than food.

PS: Thanks to nings and jono who organized this clubbing trip. And kev for comin along too.

PPS: Thanks to my li'l sis who managed to get me into the members' area for catching up session and free champagne. Best champagne in the world? Free champagne. Catch up with you soon...

PPPS: Special thanks to Mel and those buggers who tried to slosh me. Thanks ah, I was driving you know!

Violin & Tea. Day 3... all the way

Thursday, August 24, 2006

Dang.
I've realised its simply too much work to clear the backlog of blogs, and instead of wasting time blogging when I can better spend it on Dota and what nots, the choice seems simple.
Post whatever picture I can think about that sort of highlight special moments for the day.

Day 3:

Whoever says filming isn't dangerous ought to be shot. Can you imagine the diaster it would have been if Ed fell from the top of the truck/lorry/vehicle?
Amsal would've been crushed.

Day 4/5:

Gone fishing. Paul's(ed's bro. Real bro) cafe. Come here for a visit. And try the almond coffee, it rocks.

So I was playing Scrabble. But no choice, I had to keep Paul and gf entertained. The things I do for the shoot...

Day 6:

Busted tire because rental company refused to pay more for a new tire. And they expect us to drive back to the company in this condition?!?!?!?

"Eh Tim, what's toh pi xiang shi jia hu jiao li?"
"What the hell is that?" - searching furiously on the menu.
"Neh, that one lah, on the right, 2nd line from the left."
"Erm Ed... you're supposed to read the menu from left to right, not top to down." - doubled up laughing.

Day 7:

Filming in front of the Asian Civilisations Museum

I might be caught/sued/persecuted for this but heck. You don't get to take a topless shot with Sir Stamford Raffles everyday...

Day 8:

We're still there, trying to finish up...

Utopia. Was it really going to be the promised land for us too?

Dinner. Good dinner. Best dinner. (cos it was free...)

Day 9:

Just 3 guys and a camera to capture the passing of time.

Ed trying to act cute.

Some things are remain unchanged in spite of the light and shadows.

Day 10(was sick, so didn't take pictures)

Day 11

The things we do when we're bored.

The last shoot.

Amsal giving us the thumbs up sign. Just a sign of the feelings running around at the period when we heard the final 'CUT'.

And that's all folks.
Need to sleep and recharge for my MOS trip tomorrow night.
In the meantime, do give me a call if you miss me.
If not, take care now, bye bye then...

Violin & Tea Day... What the, its a WRAP!!!

Tuesday, August 22, 2006

It's a wrap.
Wanted to do a more picture-ly blog but in the end realised I was too lazy and busy to do anything at all.
But stay tune for the rest of the days, if you're interested.

In the meantime, it's a wrap.
Mixed feelings.
Glad that its over, sad that I won't be seeing these people for some time.

Off to sleep now.
1 more day to go before I can truly rest.
Logs day tomorrow...

Shameless selling of the *Arri 35 BL2 camera by Ed.

*I was forced to change to this technical sounding and unfortunately correct name for the camera. By the man himself of course.

Testing...

Testing testing...

Violin & Tea. Day 2

Monday, August 14, 2006

This method is working.
I'm actually able to clear my backlog of posts in the shortest time while having time to play Dot... I mean sleep.

So that's it.
This method it shall be.

Best thing to do on a hot, sweltering Saturday afternoon. A chair, a table, ciggys, and an ice-cold beer. SHIOK.

Ed the man. (who conned me into doing this job). And no, the sunflower was not for me. Nor the orchids.

As can see, we didn't do much on Sat since there wasn't any shooting.
But guess what, it was another logistics nightmare, going to places, collecting things, buying things.
At least I was able to go home for dinner.

Violin & Tea. Day 1

I give up.
Instead of lengthy, wordy posts, I'll just paste some pictures and start blogging.

Reasons being:

1. I no time
2. I no energy
3. I no motivation
4. Because of 1. I must make sure I allocate enough time for WoW and Dota.

Anyway, here goes...

In the botanic gardens. First day of shoot. Guy in brown: Weiming, Guy who's arse is facing us: Amster(dunno how to spell so agar agar), Guy in black holding thingy in his hands: Vince

Scene from another angle. The setting up(that takes hell lot of time, sometimes).
Gal in tshirt and jeans: Jayne jie-jie, Guy who's butt is facing us again: Amster(damn, this is going to be how I spell his name from now on...)

That's all folks.

Day 1.

Violin & Tea. Day 0

Sunday, August 13, 2006

Seeing that I'm going to be in this shi... I mean production for quite some time, might as well update when I have the chance.

So what happened at Day 0?

Woke up early, collected van/lorry/truck/big vehicle, lunch, collected film equipment, dinner, bought stuff(at Mustafah centre no less, my very first time there.), supper, home.

Which kinda reminded me of collecting goods for arts camp and stuff.

Anyway, will be attempting to update as frequent as I can, meaning, if I've still not concussed, I'll probably blog.

Till the next time...

The best part about day 0, Bedok Bak Chor Mee.

上一个人...

Thursday, August 10, 2006

上一个人,
就容易失了神.

True so true.

But dare I say anything more?
What I wanted to say, we wanted to say. We've said it.
You've heard enough too I suppose.

The sms-es.
The phone calls.
The rushing to and fro.
The little this and the little thats.

These sights and sounds play before us,
but never far, never far, to the one whom it mattered the most.
Do we thank the sun for keeping us warm?
No.
We do however, curse and swear when the sun gets too hot for our liking.
We do miss the sun with the falling of the first raindrops.
So what about you?
Are you the sun?
Or us?
Ask yourself.

This mirror image of yours.
Who is it?
Is it the Hollow inside you while the you search for bankai?
For who?

I want to say so much more.
But I'm tired.
I'm sick and tired of doing the thankless job of searching for the you that has disappeared.

You know what?
I give up.

If this journey is meant for you to be taken alone, then go ahead.
Call me when you're done.

Oh heck!!!

Friday, August 04, 2006

I should be sleeping now, but what the f**k, I'm inspired.
Not to mention the Absolut Kurant that's somewhat swimming in my system now.

Anyway, here's some pictures which I think deserve a place in my blog, and for those who still reads this blog, may read this blog, came across this blog, or got inspired to come to this blog, yada yada...

These are some pictures which are in my (not-so-humble)opinion the funniest of the lots.
And since I can't really rank them, how about some help over here eh?
Those interested please leave a comment in the tagboard regarding your choice.
Those too lazy can call or sms me.
Those even more lazy can tell me when you see me.
Those that are so lazy that they need a machine to make them breathe can well, send me their opinions through telepathy?

Well, enough talk already.
Ladies and Gentlemen, come some of da music please....

1. Totally MTV-ish. Or like some Taiwan-ese teenage-idol-drama. Let's call this: Beachy (kind of) love.

2.
The 3 Stooges... I mean Ladies...

3.
The Dancing Toothbrush-ers. Call us if you want to be entertained while you use the toilet. We promise to dance and brush our teeth only. And maybe pee...

4.
The man, the man, and the hand rest. (note the pout on the hand rest's face)

5.
The masked man of mystery. In pink towel no less. Scary...

6.
Did I hear someone say LOTR?

7.
Erm, the 1000 head Buddha?

8.
Tit-anic. There must be a better way to kill time...

9.
The man who somehow got his (*ahem) preference mixed up.

10.
Guess who's sleepy and hungry?

So cast your votes early people!!!

PS: If you think that most of the pictures got me, then its too bad. Muahahahaha!!! Since I'm the shameless owner of this blog and the equally shameless bugger that likes to take these kind of pictures.

PPS: For those whose erm.. not so beautiful/handsome sides are captured and displayed here. Please don't kill me...
